Ocean Rain was part of the soundtrack of my early 20's and it is a true gem with brilliant songwriting and a full orchestra...one of my favorite albums which I played countless times but after my turntable stopped working, I had not heard this song in over 30 years. I thought this was an instrumental version at first because of the extended intro. The melody and lyrics instantly came back to me and I was already singing along like karaoke before Ian came in with 'Swung from a chandelier'. I instantly remembered everything including all of the 'T-T-T-T-Tips' and 'La La La La La's at the ending.

You were still to young in your teens to have caught them at their peaksaw them in mod eightiex twice in a weekend, Friday night Edinburgh Playhouse, rockin'. Saturday night Glasgow Barrowlands absolutely fucking bouncing, in my top 3 gigs & pure class & also before Pete de Frietas was taken from us RIP. Proper band with proper music & a proper gobshite for a singer, like all great bands should have.

@@Sdragnasty FWIW, they didn't perform "Silver" or "Bring on the Dancing Horses." I was disappointed that they didn't play these songs but they made up for it with other songs from their, at the time "new" album, simply titled 'Echo and the Bunnymen.'

Thanks for this. Got it on vinyl myself, but not had a turntable since 2002. One of the first things I'll play when i get a new one. Alongside Heaven Up Here and Crocodiles LPs. Not converting these to digital. It is not worthy of such greatness. Love the orchestration on this. Quality. Technically top notch this band. Pete, best drummer I ever saw, Will best guitarist, Mac, best vocalist in the history of rock n roll.
