I am happy for Kristian as well. I think MCU needs to find a balance of being true to Kingpin in the Netflix show and the comics. I still think Kingpin needs to be the Big Bad of the street earthbound heroes and keep Kang or Doom as the cosmic villain

I’m a MASSIVE fan of Daredevil, Punisher and really enjoyed the overall Netflix universe. I can’t believe Echo has now become one of my most anticipated MCU projects but it has now because this trailer looks and feels JUST LIKE those older shows. Can’t wait and hopefully Daredevil is just like this!

Haven't been this surprised by a trailer in a while. You're 100% right Kristian, it looks like a continuation of Netflix's Daredevil series and feels like they exist within that same universe. Really want this show to deliver know. Could be a big step in the right direction for the MCU. And Echo of all projects being the one to do it would shock us all!

THIS!! This is exactly the tone I wanted for Echo. This is a woman who was born and raised in organized crime, surrounded by violence, so of course the show should be darker and more serious than any of the other MCU shows. And I love that this show will guarantee us 3 things. Proper representation of Native American culture, proper representation for the deaf community, and the terrifying force of nature that is TV-MA rated Kingpin!

Daredevil is in a blink and you'll miss it clip. He is jumping and twisting over boxes right before Echo (or someone) jumps off a truck towards a car. If they nail the show like this trailer, I think this will be the course correction Marvel has needed for its NYC gritty stories.

To be fair about Kingpin in Hawkeye, if you watch the deleted scenes of that show, Kingpin feels a lot more like the Netflix Kingpin. So it is not really MARVEL being like, "hey let us make him more like Kingpin now" but more like them actually putting a lot more focus on him.

SO smart of Disney to release this one all at once. Pretty much every Disney+ show has massive drop off of viewers each episode that releases. Even something amazing like Loki season 2. They had to see that hardly anyone was hyped for Echo. By making this show Mature, focusing a lot on Kingpin, and also dropping it on Hulu as well is some of the smartest moves they have made in a while. If the show ends up great, people might stop complaining about the quality of D+ MCU shows. Also love that we have another show that doesn't seem to be using Volume. This really does feel like Netflix Marvel. :)

I was like.. wait wut? i never had any interest in this and this looks sick. I know a lot of people seem meh or unsatisfied with the MCU atm, but that trailer was pretty damn good. The proof is yet to come, though, so we'll see. But, I'm ok going into this being optimistic. So as I understood it, Marvel decided maybe a year ago that they were gonna dump all 6 episodes and do zero marketing for it. It implied it was bad enough that Marvel or Disney had no faith in it, which at the time seemed like it must be REALLY bad. Having now watched this, it’s gritty and grounded and real. What exactly about this project did they think was not worth promoting? It feels like this is another situation like Andor where Disney just left the showrunners alone and had little input on anything
