So the deal with the trees is, you gotta put something in to take a fruit. I'd suggest putting a pogofruit through it, since they're not as valuable as favorite foods are. (This is what I've been told, in any case.)

You can reach the end of slime rancher with only 2 keys, 5 quantum plorts, and 2800 newbucks. Get stamina and jetpack upgrades. You can skip all but 2 doors.

The Ancient Ruins do need the door to be opened, unless one has a cheat that increases one's flying height. The SR MultiMod has that ability, amongst a number of settings it allows one to adjust, including energy drain, which would be the attendant cheat one needs for long distance flying in-game. Even then, it take hopping onto the broken ring that sticks out of the force-field, as even the multi-mod doesn't let one get high enough to get over the barrier if only taking off from the ground. It is the only forcefield that one can get over, the forcefields around the Ranch extensions cover them from above. As an aside though, if you fly up above the Grotto before buying it, you can walk across the top of the forcefield.

If you didn't know, the holo-trees grow quantum lemons. The only way to get them is to shoot any kind of fruit into the tree. Also, the quantum slimes are REALLY difficult to manage on your ranch. They teleport randomly. The glass desert is going to be behind the incomplete door.

You can't fly into the Ancient Ruins - it has a force field shielding it, so you can only enter by opening the gate.

I understand I am five years late but I figured I give you an answer. Cap had some behind the scenes trouble with we happy few it was way too buggy for him and I believe some shady stuff the Devs did he didn't like. He didn't like what the final project turned out to be so he decided to scrap those videos. And like literally every series people ask it didn't do well in views. He'll rather make a tabs video that gets 500k views than a we happy few video that barely gets 100k.

They're indie point and click "atmospheric horror" kind of games that are really weird and creepy but cool... and you can find a bunch of them for free on Newgrounds! They also released some that are like $2 or something. It would be a lot of fun to watch you play them!!
