A detail I picked up on was during episode 5 when Jinx and Vi are reading Vander's note to Silco in the mine, Jinx said something along the lines of "If Vander had gotten this to Silco, maybe everything would have been different." And I feel that future is the one we saw with Ekko this episode. Along with Jayce never creating and expanding Hextech.

This episode was crucial to the characters and the choices they'll make. It'll make sense. One thing I can say: Jayce climbed out of the undercity up into Piltover with a busted leg. He finally went through what Viktor went through.

They aren't doing a timey whimy multiverse thing. It was just to show the two possibilities (even if they do exist). They are moving to other places in Runeterra in the next shows, like Noxus, Demacia, and Ionia. And there are 169 champs in the game. There's plenty to do.

How could you not see why Jace came back and killed Viktor? Piltover was done and everyone was dead because of Hextech.
@christophercorbin93872 сағат бұрын
Okay, if Vi died in the explosion, the police shut down the hextec project. So none of it was started. Vi's death started a whole new timeline of events where people could find hope. Nevermind, Clarus got there. The gas didn't kill people, they used it to get around and drive people out of the way. You forget that the gas was an issue for years before.

The dividing line you’re looking for is the payoff from episode 5, Silco found the letter and forgave Vander, the tow of them are working together for Zaun rather than at odds with each other.

i think people are too hung up on multiverse, I dont think the show will focus on that, this is just a good way to boost the motivations of Ekko and Jayce
@daskc8562 сағат бұрын
The show just said she had magic because one of her parents did. No idea where you are getting prophecy from lol it seems way more likely for it to just be one of her parents was black rose and they believe they own “their power” and want it back rather than a chosen destiny that is literally never mentioned (because it’s not a thing in the show)
@AymanSaeedd42 минут бұрын
I also think seeing the hextech explosion kill a child also further encourages Jayce in this alternate reality not to push and chase hextech with Victor. Silco also said in the first season that all hextech did was put Piltover even further ahead of Zaun, so there was even more reason for the council not to consider the undercity in their future. That likely also forced Silco to fuel shimmer production even further. Having Vi die, or any kid really die there is a really clever point in the story for picking where the butteryfly effect would cascade into another reality

I just love it when people can't predict whats going to happen and this what I love so much about this show. It doesn't follow the meta script for other shows where you know whats gonna happen 10 minutes in and wacthing the rest turns you into a resident sleeper. However rest assured all questions will be answered in the next 2 episodes. Keep guessing, its fun watching you struggle. P.S. Just wanted to mention the parallel where Jayce had to escape from hell to return to his reality and Eko had to give up heaven.

In the Ekko timeline you don’t have the Enforcers going after Vanders kids became Vi is dead. They got their justice so to speak. Because they never went after Vander he was able to pull Zaun out of the gutter and make it a thriving city. Silco never had to team up with Singed and create Shimmer and so no chembarrons. In Jaces’ world you see what unchecked hextech leads to, the wild magic exerts its influence. The main story line is where we are fighting between the two outcomes.

23:40 Honestly, that would be the best way to enjoy the show and how it ends. We all have expectations, but often they just ruin the experience and prevent us from focusing on good/important things. I think they ended the show beautifully, I got all the resolutions and explanations I wanted, and more. That being said, Arcane will forever remain one of the best shows I've ever seen.

This timeline's Powder is wearing Vander's bracelet as a necklace. In our timeline, Vi was wearing it. We can see it in Vander's flashbacks. That's kind of the moment I realized there was no Vi here. This is just the sweetest and the most painful episode in my opinion. Oh, and please check out the translation for Stromae's song. It's beautiful.

Other stuff that is different in the universe Ekko gone to from the main one: Silco and Vander made up (probably cause Silco found the letter) and with both the leaders of the undercity alive and on good therms, probably they were much stronger to push for the wellfare of the undercity in a peaceful way, and on the side, the gangs didn't get as strong because Silco was not empowering them. Also, our Heimerdinger was there for longer after have been seen what the undercity was in the main universe, and in this one he was not kicked from the counsel, so he probably had time to help making things right too.

2:08 Totally a parallel universe. Heimerdinger says as much in two more minutes. With enough confidence that he's probably seen or heard of one before. It's not a late introduction if they never intend to go back to it with other series. It just becomes a 'Wonderful Life' one-time narrative thing to get Ekko thinking about things differently in HIS reality. Same with Jayce, one with less 'Wonderful' and more 'I am become Death, destroyer of worlds'
@vincentlamarque577743 минут бұрын
One crucial point is taking you off the show imho. American film industry is mostly plot driven, where French film industry is completely caracter driven. Here Ekko is transported in a sort of fantasmed Paris (Pastries, metal and glass architecture, french song, clothings...) Ekko has always been very close to powder (See "Enemy" music video), and here, he litteraly falls in love with his enemy, but instead of staying here, he chooses to leave her to try and save Jinx and his people... Truly the Goat. For Jayce part though, you only have half of the story here, and I think it is a recuring problem with season 2 of Arcane : They are altering the natural flow of information in order to shock the audience, but a large part of the audience feels lost in consequence. I can promise you that watching Arcane a second time, everything just clicks wonderfully.

Thought I would just let you know, Heimdeinger didn't die. In league of legends lore, Yordles are actually spirits. They technically can't die and are "immortal." Their spirit just returns to their home land which is called "Bandle City" which is like a pocket dimension that exist in Runeterra, only Yordles can travel in & out of it. The only thing that would change this, would be if Arcane retcons all of their universal rules and lore they've already established about Yordles, since Arcane is canon. Also league of legends has a total of 167 champions total now as of season 14.

If you think about it 5 seconds, there is no reason to believe that the universe Jayce end up in isn't the one Ekko and Heimedinger did. The only rule we have, from Heimedinger, is that when arriving, they arrived at different times. Hence Heimedinger arrived 3 years before Ekko. And soon after, they both disappeared from that universe. The only things we know about where Jayce is, is that the city is "different" to say the least, and that Viktor is quite old. Sorry to say that to me the simplest explanation is that Jayce arrived a few years later. Probably after that Powder built hexteck thanks to the crystals we saw her having, and what she learned from Ekko, and while all the rest is pure speciulation, we can imagine that a young inventor named Viktor (and maybe a version of Jayce who failed after the accident his in lab) would see the potential in this discovery.

Vi dying is not the factor. Jace and Viktor not discovering Hextex was. It blew up. BUT Powder HAS the hex chips she stole ( In the VI drawer ), still, and the probability she has of creating things like she did in the other her universe are High since she saw and helped Ekko discover and create a Hexcore. It is REALLY hard to truely kill a Yordle. They lose connection to this realm as their health fails and they get pulled back to their realm of origin (Bandle City). Heimer is probably MUCH older than the 300 he states as Yordles only really count the years outside of Bandle City as ageing.

They set out to do way too much for the run time they had. Introducing multiverse this late with zero establishment of multiverse logic was a recipe for plot holes. Why did Ekko go into a different consciousness, but Jayce arrived in the same body and clothes he had? There are more plot holes related to this in later episodes, but I won't spoil them here.
