Louisa needs a good clip round the ear, the little madam. I wish they'd remake things like this, small budget, no celebs or former sitcom stars, just proper oldskool actors. It's a lost art.

Thank you for the upload. I'll look forward to the next episode. Louisa reminded me of a spoiled, badly behaved girl who was brought over to stay to keep me company as a child during the holidays. She verbally attacked and bit me when I first met her as soon as my grandmother turned her back for no reason.

This is really good. An eerie slow burner of a plot. Never seen it before and am enjoying that haunting music too. Thank you for sharing MDC.

Ah, Amanda Kirby. I remember her as Jenny from STV's "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie". A series cut off in it's prime, if you'll excuse the pun. Cancelled after just 7 episodes. Leaving us having to either read the book or watch the film to see what happened next.

Laying strong foundations of atmosphere, time and place. Stick with it.

Yes, these types of stories were often "slow burners" - the very similar 'Come Back, Lucy' and later 'Moondial' are much the same, but your perseverance is rewarded in the end!

Something else that just gets me about these things. I'm 48, pretty old but not all that old, quiet at the back, but my dad was brought up by his Granny, a woman from the 1880's so he's very old fashioned and I suppose I too am very old fashioned in turn. There's a weird connection there not sure what it is. 🤣

I get that, my gran born 1900 and my dad in 36 and she was 61 when I was born, a top woman and grandmother

@@johngibson3837 Something I remarked to him, and he quite agreed. When we was a little 'un there were still old women hanging around in those fancy 1890's outfits with the hat and feathers.(Like we see in Bridgeton or Downton Abby) Even in Govan, well maybe he saw one once. That's what I think.
