this is actually a technique called reverse glass painting! it originated in Romania and Transylvania as a form of folk art and was usually used as a cheaper option to decorate churches! (At least according to the Romanian teacher at my highschool who taught an afterschool reverse glass painting class.)

Yeaaaa, I've painted many a window art this way. With cheap acrylics, I could clean up any wobble by scratching it off with a toothpick after it dried.

When I started seeing people do this I instantly thought about snow white. They used glass panes so they could mount them to make a 3-d effect.

Firstly- I love this idea! So simple, very doable, and super affordable. Thank you for sharing this idea! Secondly- I can't thank you enough for your video where you came out as asexual. I know I've said this before in a comment, but I really can't ever thank you enough for making me feel like I wasn't broken or "wrong" and was just different, and that it's ok to be this way.

Love this!! I've been meaning to give it a try. I've also seen people use the oil paint pens for the outlining.

This is awesome! Have you ever tried POSCA paint pens? Since you said the Sharpie marker was more precise and even, but the paint held up better under the additional colored paints, maybe paint pens can help split that difference.

Literally hiding all my fav creators and making me watch the same 5 ppl 😤🙄 Leaving this comment so the algorithm shows me more of your videos.

this is going to save my boyfriend from heartbreak. last summer, I bought him rice waffles that had a cute hamster on the front. he loved it so much that he kept the wrapper, I even got him a second one that was in better condition. unfortunately, his mum threw away/lost both of them?! so I'm going to paint the hamster and give it to him for children's day this year :3

Would an acrylic paint marker work for line art or is the paint in them too thin?
@PeanutSpring32 жыл бұрын
Wait, what kind of paint should I use? Is acrylic good, or should it be oil?
