Hi Echo Kraft. Have you used the Osmose with non-mpe VST instruments? Just wondered if you enjoyed the results and if it was worth the challenge of configuring it to work with them. I know the Osmose can work as a standard midi keyboard but assume that you'd want it as mpe like as possible with these non-mpe instruments

Yes, I have hooked it up using it as a standalone mini controller and it works just fine. Obviously you don’t get the expressions that you would get if you were using MPE but it does work.

Thanks for this video, what are your settings for using Osmose with Pigment? Do you use Port 1 or Port 2 in the vst? It's really amazing!!! Thanks ✌

Port one I believe that’s what it defaults to. I have it set up as an AU

I just got an osmose, im trying to use it in pigments and it wont let me pick it as a controller. If i go to the hamburger menu and go to audio midi settings. I can see the 2 Osmose devices there, I checked them and close the midi settings. It still doesn’t show up as an option for a controller. I can’t find any help with it.
@@EchoKraft yeah, seen it. Thats not pigments. Not sure why youre sending me that.

@@jospehbloseph7172 I sent that to you because you have to set up MPE on the Osmose. If you have already done that. It technically should work. I don’t no why PIGMENTS is showing 2 Osmose devices. I will have to set it up again and get back to you.

@@EchoKraft thank you, and just fyi its pigments standalone not as a DAW plugin. If youre in pigments and go to the hanburger menu on the left, you will see ‘audio midi settings’ in there you can see the audio out settings and rhe midi devices. It lists my interface, osmose and osmosein2 (something like that, its not in front of me) i tries checking them, i tried one, then the other, then both. But if I go to the gear settings on the right, then select midi, under the devices theres a list of the usual suspects of midi controllers but no osmose. ‘Generic midi controller’ does not work. MPE is setup on the osmose because it works on my ipad, just wanted you to have rhe full story. If anything comes to mind, I appreciate your input. :)

@@jospehbloseph7172 Ok so i experimented with the Standalone version and for some reason you aright it will not connect to the Osmose. I was able to get it to work with or in my DAW. Its weird. I'm going to contact Arturia and find out why. Stay tuned 😉

Hola, podrias decirme como se configura para que lo coja como controlador el pigments? Esque no me sale en la lista... gracias

Hello my friend, if you go into pigments on the right top side, you’ll see a little gear you click on a little gear and it should show you the midi set up. You have to enable MPE then you can use it as a controller for pigments. You shouldn’t have to do anything on the Osmos. It’s already set up and ready to go.
