Chuck did an awesome lead vocal on Easy To Be Hard. I also enjoyed the live version with Cory and Danny on lead. That was also an awesome version as well. Love Three Dog Night and all three lead singers. Great memories of 1969 when 4 songs from the musical Hair was on the pop charts. That was one of them hitting number four that fall.

I was only a little kid when these guys were making hits on the charts, never did get to see them live but I loved 'em! Who could ever forget Joy to the World and Mama Told Me Not To Come and on and on and on! It's good to know they are still out there making good music! Thanks for posting this great video!

This concert with TDN and the Nashville Symphony was performed at the Renaissance Center in Dickson, Tn. I produced the DVD with a super video team. It was a fun project for everyone involved. We all got to know the band, especially Cory and Danny, who spent many days with us during post production. What great guys and true professionals. They really cared about their music and fans. Cory and Danny were much involved during the weeks of editing and laying the sound tracks for the DVD. We quickly learned that Cory and Danny were perfectionist who watched every detail. Always polite and positive. May God bless, Cory. He made the world a better place.

Chuck Negron owns this one because you can't get that classic record out of your head, but the guys did an amazing job of carrying it off. Solid, heartfelt vocals and playing at the same time. Nicely done. Especially 30-plus years later. Band totally rocks btw.

Still one of my favorite songs. Notice that even your grand-kids get turned on to this music. I don't care WHO is singing it now... at least they are singing it again. Also reminds me of my entry into the Navy over 35 years ago (retired now) when I thought everyone else was "different" and not to be trusted. Then when I got to basic training I met this wonderful world of people (all men then of course) from all corners of America... Changed my life forever.

To all the haters, I'm a musician, and I've heard Chuck singing recently. He just doesn't have it anymore, and when he sings these songs they don't sound anything like Three Dog Night anymore. Sorry, but that's reality. Besides, Cory always was the face of the band and had the outstanding lead vocals.

Three Dog Night had the best singers of ANY rock/pop band IMO. Danny Hutton and Cory Wells are still great even in their senior years. It's a shame that the three of them can't put their differences aside and get back together with with Chuck Negron for a tour.....while they are still young enough to be able to do so.

Cory Wells was 3 Dog Night. I mean, they were all very talented singers. But, in my humble opinion Cory was the true anchor. Chuck was very good, however, Cory was the main man. Plus, he continued to improve over the years. When I first heard him sing in Vietnam , I was hooked. What a terrific talent. Also, he never got a big head, even though he was fantastic. OMG, what a talent!!

I agree Cory had great soul and sang from the heart. He was my 2nd favorite 3DN, but Chuck Negron is just a awesome singer and more of Chuck's songs became hits because he sang them so well. Cory did a good version, but Chuck's "Easy To Be Hard" is better.

Other than a couple of comments, the rest of you don't get it. I am not going to waste my time explaining details to those who have no appreciation for REAL music, regardless of who is/isn't present. One person does not make a group, and since this one person decided to frig up his life and let the music die, the others are supposed to as well? They are keeping the music of the group alive, sorry if you don't like it. I grew up with this stuff, have 2 albums (vinyl) by them and I love it.

And Chuck Negron is all over KZbin singing songs that Cory Wells sang on the records. Let it go. Those records were 40 years ago. Today is today. What is it they say about people who live in glass houses? It's interesting to read posts by people who are fans of Chuck Negron. Instead of going and praising his videos, they spend time posting about the current band. It's like 7th grade. It's not like Chuck Negron works at a gas station and is being kept from having a career in music.
