Keep the top handle design of the 303t it's an unbelievable little saw. My little cs 301 has the same design in the old grey color. Just a great saw.

Does anyone know if 100% of the parts (engine internals etc) are made in Japan? I saw some cheaper Echo saws at my local hardware store in Australia (Bunnings) and they had "Made in PRC" stickers on them. Yet the Echo distributor in Australia emailed me to confirm all Yamabiko products are made in Japan. Currently deciding between a 501SX, MS261 and 550XP and I'll go with the Echo if it's guaranteed to be 100% made in Japan.

Hi, thanks for your question. Right now all ECHO products are made entirely in Japan with the exception of blowers, which are assembled in the USA. We previously had facilities in PRC where products were assembled but this is no longer the case. I hope this is clear. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate!

@@ECHOTools great, thanks for the clarification. I guess the local Bunnings store here in Australia still has some old PRC stock on the shelf. I did notice on the 501SX, the plate clearly states "Assembled in Japan" so I am going to get myself a new Echo.

@@ECHOTools PRC aka. "Peoples Republic of China" was that EVER a wise move ECHO???! The optics of that decision are so terrible, it leaves people wondering.

Where are the 56v eforce battery tools made?

Thanks for your question. Depending on the model, either at our plant in Hiroshima, Japan or assembled in China.

"First to Start, Last to Quit" was Shindaiwa's (made in Japan) byline and it was true BEFORE ECHO bought them out and fired their engineers. Now, Echo wants to make their equipment in Japan. How insightful ??!! LOL. Echo is STIHL better than that "steal" sh*tty orange stuff made in Germany.

Thanks for your comment. When ECHO and Shindaiwa merged all engineers stayed. Nobody was fired. ECHO always built equipment in Japan and every engine starts its life here.
