Slot is tactically ahead of Klopp. Klopps system involved risky passes so that they could press when dispossessed. Always a bit baffled by that ! Klopps players were run into the ground hence the amount of injuries and tiredness and drop off in form. Slots system is about NOT giving the ball away.

Tactically, Klopp is the best manager in the world. Besides Chiesa who was bought for only £10m, Arne didnt need to sign more players simply because Klopp already did the midfield rebuilt beford he left. Arne could see the overall strength of the team when he came in and knew he doesnt need to sign anyone. Still, its only Arne's first season, we cant expect him to work miracles and win the title as well as the champions league. He would still need more time to just bed in.

Great analysis as usual. Thought Macca was very poor the first half him and Trent both gave the ball away a lot. Curtis been underrated for a long time, was hoping to see him play more, I think this performance may have pushed him ahead of Sobozsli. Again some great adjustments from Slot at half time, on one hand shows how good a manager he is, but on the other hand does worry me a little that its becoming a theme. Was an issue last season as well though at least not conceding the first goal all the time.

I’ve been critical of Diaz’s end product after his hot streak at the beginning of the season. I’m Jones’s biggest fan I would love Jones to be in the England squad regularly if he can stay fit for the season 🤞🏻. He hasn’t shown any sustained fitness or consistency yet. Hope this is his real breakthrough season without injury till May 🤞🏻.

Something I’ve heard about Slot is when he came to the club & got players back, he called TAA aside to watch some videos & he thought ‘ah here we go getting told I can’t defend’ & turns out Slot was showing him videos saying ‘if you turn your body ‘x’° you get ‘y’% better chance vs them’ So Slot is like ‘you’re good but you can do this to be better’ all positive feedback which is what you need
