The way I see the Eternal Fleet is that it works in the way that fleets in the series Legend of the Galactic Heroes operate. That being, they have the resources to pump out tens of thousands of ships in regular battles, so much that the tactical maps they use of the battlefield don't show individual ships in formation, but geometric blobs representing the formations. With fleet battles on that scale, the loss of hundreds or even thousands of ships in every engagement is usually acceptable. One episode has the Imperial faction send out a fleet of 3000 warships just as hired muscle to get this one dictator of this one planet to pay their taxes, and even for that, the fleet was seen as unusually small. Another similarity is that that series also has superweapons that can cut across swarms of ships, the closest to the SW Gravestone being the Asgrimm. SO I think that the Eternal Fleet would have been optimized for large-scale battles against large forces of enemies of in maintaining a presence across numerous fronts.

No, it was not amazing, it was incoherent garbage. Convince me how does one hide such a fleet? Exogol? Didn't we unanimously agree that Exogol is garbage? Why is Zakuul not a garbage then? Further, the entire point was that you can't conquer the Republic, you can only corrupt it, like Palpatine did. How come some "so cool" Navy was able to do what entire Empires were not able to do? It also ruined everything that came before it... It is called: garbage.

While I really like the detail and everything, one thing really bothers me: Darth Marr and the hero of Tython (at 7:20). If I remember correctly, the Outlander never was confirmed to be the Hero of Tython. It isn‘t even clear to which faction, Republic or Empire, he belonged to. The Outlander could’ve also been Darth Nox or the Emperor‘s Wrath for all we know.

It’s kind of a generally accepted/unspoken rule that the Jedi Knight is the “main character” of the game. In the same way that they have a semi-canon in mind for each class’ story decisions (example, canonically Knight was played Light side) they have to have some baseline when writing the story. And adding to this is the Knight’s class story that involves the Emperor more than any other class story. But that doesn’t invalidate other classes being the Outlander. It’s just how the story has to be structured to start writing it. As I understand it, at least.

Especially how so many want movies and series of the Old Republic. Start the story from when Valkorion came to power, had children, sent Vaylin away to be conditioned, the twins training, the battles, Arcanns betrayal to his father and enters the Outlander hero, Gemini's take over, War for Iokath, Battle against Arcann, Arcann's redemption, Vaylin's rise to power, taking down Vaylin, and taking down Valkorion once and for all. The whole arc was so good imo and nothing will change my opinion. If you didn't like it good for you I don't need your explanation why.

You should do a video on The Gravestone one of the only ships that could break an entire wall of these ships

sure, they were advanced, but could they stand up against the might of the dark empire

Probably not

Easily. These eternal ships are faster than isotope 5 ships and alot more powerful aswell.

Overwhelming numbers almost always wins every time. Though due to the thousands of years between them maybe the Eternal Fleet's firepower can't match up to the huge technological advantage of the dark empire era ships.

I don't think they can, not a single dark empire creation was destroyed in combat, the only way they were destroyed was by each other (which is a nice parallel between them and the empire itself, powerful but destroyed by themselves). Both eclipses could probably annihilate one, if not more, of those ships in a single superlaser shot, the world devastators can produce armadas on their own and a single devastator could maybe take on a dozen eternal fleet ships. And the galaxy gun can just make the longest snipe ever and destroy all important planets.

It really depends on the strategy. The majority of Dark Empire's firepower is primarily focused around the usage of the Eclipse class and that of the Sovereign. Of course yes, DE has the Galaxy Gun and the World Devastators but these would not necessarily be that important on a tactical level due to how manuevourable the Eternal Fleet is, which at the same time when we are to consider a dynamic battlefield they could easily gang up on an Eclipse which would lose the main weapon's advantage due to the fleet being all split up, and thus due to the reload times would make it hard for it to hit them. It is also true that the ships could manoeuvre into weak spots. Now yes, World Devastators are still powerful but they will suffer on the strategic level as they will be shot at. Granted, they can still build more ships but overall the Eternal Fleet has the advantage as hit and run attacks are very effective.
