Some behaviours like breaking blocks or opening doors are something that the dweller learns over time! So in your recording he wasn’t breaking blocks or opening doors yet, but if the dweller encounters you doing things a few times he will adapt and learn new skills and ways to chase you down! We didn’t want it to be completely inescapable in the beginning but to ramp up over time if you manage to escape him in certain ways!

Despite it having 500 hp it can only take 1-2 iron golems, so bring iron golems into caves. Plus with you also attacking it with a iron golem you could actually win.

I’ve been playing for awhile (bedrock version) and I haven’t seen him peak around a corner. He just stalks me and would sometimes start to walk towards me. Why is his dweller different? Edit: I also forgot to add that if you don’t react to his noises. He would purposely try to find new ways to make you run away or look. I heard footsteps running behind me, but there was nothing there.

Legit acrophobia and Creepers rattle me into a fight or flight frenzy reengaging literal OIF PTSD. Its ridiculous tbh and I have had to force myself to play through as "exposure therapy".

They definitely took some inspiration from the Xenomorph in Alien: Isolation. Its also got an AI that learns from your behavior while stalking you and will gradually overcome whatever methods you use to scare it off.

I played Alien Isolation... I don't remember it being that much of a threat. You are given many ways of dealing with it, and It never really overcame fire.

I don't believe it's a real ai. Don't think it still possible on bedrock, or Minecraft in whole. It's just counting how many times you did some actions. For example: (you escaped him in cave using doors , so. After 3-4 escapes with closing doors he will activate the ability to open door) but still very good for an addon

Plus they removed Siren Head and added Watchtower, who just looks like an angry transformer. Really disappointed with the Dwellers add-on for that. The cave dweller has more intelligent AI, so he's not just acting predictable all the time, which is what I prefer.

One tactic to “killing” this thing is having an iron golem body guard and baiting the dweller into attacking then standing behind the golem to heal it with more iron ingots, works like a charm

Also other add ons I recommend for the cave dweller is Realism VFX by spark universe, secret doors by Mod block, and tinker’s construct lite by FTB (tinker’s is optional if you want more attention towards the dweller add on)
