No bc Mojang doesn't know how to add two separate advancements one for game score / trophies for Xbox and ps and one for in game advancements but instead they make a lot of advancements not in java that are for game score that you can't get when certain things are activated or If you activate any mod

Using light level blocks worries me other addons did this and have an issue breaking crops or turning dirt paths into dirt blocks and if thats the case here i may not get it

It also does buggy things to fences as well, like the light block is attaching to them which is super weird.

I run 3 checks, first is in the head location, if that is safe to place a block then it will go there, then I check the feet then the 1 block above the head. My ultimate goal is for it to 100% not affect your worlds, if it's not safe in those 3 locations it won't place one. Which is why when he was standing in the fence blocks near the end the light went out. It also won't break light blocks you place, as I track where I am placing them and remove them if they are no longer in use. Crops are a block so it will fail the block place check.

Nice add-on. I would absolutely love it if you could place the various items down and they would emit light or have a special light that does the lightbulb block without commands that I can change the color, intensity, spot or flood light, etc. I love doing custom lighting tricks on my builds to really make things pop or give off a certain vibe.

2:30 bedrock offhand. Bedrock does have the code for the offhand. I know foxynotail made an addon where you can put any items in your offhand. Maybe the addon support foxynotail offhand addon or they pre coded all their items to work in the offhand once mojang enables the code to allow all items in their offhand

Health bars is bugged if you hit something it changes the name of the mob so if you die it’ll say 5/15

Thanks for the review, some great points to take away. Good spot with the off hand info, the info page is grabbed from a list I have in the code which technically allows it to work if it was put in the off hand (with commands) but I can see how that can be confusing. Will add that to my next update. Light level 3 and under are so low it's almost impossible to see, I set the light levels to the levels from the wiki that the blocks give but could bump them up. Those item suggestions I will 100% add, how the hell did I miss campfires🤦and can remove candles if it doesn't make sense for them to emit light I am working on an update at the moment which will allow you to place the Torch Lights (including in water) I will investigate the issue in the water with bumping your head, which is odd as the light blocks have no collision It is technically possible to add items to the off hand if I do it on clicking the item, so will look to see how that could be used/added

This is my first ever project of dynamic lights. But works only with torch in main hand and not on the ground just the player.. and found out it deletes dirt paths... Sad.. but I cannot figure out how or why.

I've done my best to finetune the placing light to make it as smooth as possible. I have not managed to have paths or farmland break so I am not sure what other packs do.

Not sure if this would be possible. However, It would be more interesting if they could make objects give off coloured light. As an example if you use a Soul Torch the light would be blue. Then maybe have an option to turn that feature On or Off. It would be nice to see stuff lit up with different colours.

Um Ecko it looked like to me you colided with a fence post and the light went out at the end of the video. Also World Essentials and World Utilities have had updates, don't know if you want to do a video. Essentials has an elevator, kinda OP, really cool.

Tried this mod. Had the torch in my off hand scaling a water pillar. Somehow this mod changed the falling water to source water and next thing I know my entire area had water coming from nowhere flooding the base and the area around it.

Honestly, this seems like another good idea, poor execution add-on. I kept up with the “Hikers friend” add-on and it seems like a better option. A walking stick that grants speed2 and jump2, a climbers pick that lets you scale walls, and a lantern you can turn on and have work inside your inventory or your offhand. The lantern has a small bug that updates blocks near you though, as in things like gravity affected blocks fall nearby and fences try to connect to it when it’s on. Slightly annoying. Majorly convenient.

It's insulting how many cashcrabs get uploaded to the marketplace. Personally I don't think this is even close to being worth it, especially when you compare it to the actual price of the basegame. I don't mind paying creators for their work, but this is not worth $3.00. The money spent on addons ... adds up. They could have at least added more custom lights, lanters, or torches. I'm sure they put effort into this pack, but I think for the money we spend, we should expect more.

Almost, I check if those 3 blocks are safe individually, then place 1 block if one of those spaces if safe. If they are not it would not place which is what happened. I then save what blocks I've placed and loop through them, check if they are not in use, then set to air/water if needs be.

I personally think this is quite useless or should atleast be free. You have Hikers Friend which is a free addon and you can simply make the lantern in it which workspractically the same with way less effort and it can be off-handed aswell, or even just kept in your inventory and remain lit

I agree with you, the quality control isn't quite there. We went from 4-5 addons a week to nearly double that! There is alot of money to be made with addons and I'm talking very, very big figures! many of these partners want a piece of that. I really hope quality control is updated and we stop seeing the same recycled content everyweek.

The most obvious cash grab has to be the rockets. It literally just has a bunch of rockets that launches you in the air for no reason and that's it. No it's a mod called optifine. However, Mojang did try collaborating with the creators of Optifine to make it actually a real feature but they unfortunately got turned down. Dynamic lighting is a pretty complicated thing to put in games tbh...
