Oh Kim… your home looks so pretty and serene. I love the pops of color in your florals too. I had been going through a lack of desire to decorate, as you had with your mother, due to the passing of my husband. It was sudden and a huge loss to our family. I'm so sorry for your loss! It's understandable that you didn't feel like decorating. The inner healing that is necessary when you lose someone you love, especially when it isn't anticipated (still hard), brings most of your focus inward, and there just isn't the energy or interest, for a lot of people, to do things like decorate. It's hard enough to get up each day and deal with the daily necessities of life and the new things you now have to do. I'm glad to hear that you are starting to decorate again. It means you are healing, and it can be therapeutic too. I hope memories of experiences shared with your husband, and things that he did that made you laugh, or comfort you, bring you happiness and gratitude for the love you shared, and help you hold him close in your heart. ❤

I just love, love, love your style. It’s so entertaining to my eye with all the colors and layers. I call my style French country garden with animal statues, botanical prints, bird cages and many thrifted treasures. I found a great concrete piece for my deck this morning at Goodwill. A pot will fit perfectly in the concrete branches. Keep doing your style. It’s truly wonderful🪴

Kim I love the blue, yellow, orange and white floral arrangement in the beehive pot in the office. The office is so pretty.💙💛🐝💛💙 of course your dining room is still a favorite next to your screened in porch. I also love the green hutch with all its treasures. I love your home tours! I too decorate with flowers depending on flowers that are blooming at the time I do make my own arrangements. As you say they make me happy and I usually smile. Since I have gotten older I have a special area I use seasonal items. And the rest is flowers. I do love all your real iris,they are gorgeous in bloom I hope you will show us.
