You have any pointers for longslide drifting? I swear my progress has been stagnant all season because I have yet to be able to get used to it

Be consistent at precision drift. This is because long slide drift is all about maintaining a shallow kart angle to maintain speed/accelerate. With precision drift you start drifts close to that shallow angle so it's easier to get into. Precision drift is all about maximizing drift entry speed (not just countersteering like what it says in-game). The acceleration from long slide drift doesn't just happen so if you're drift entry is slow then long slide drift will barely help you. When maintaining the drift angle, generally its light taps of the direction. The taps should be just short and frequent enough so you can accelerate while drifting. If you aren't accelerating then tap for less time, tap less frequently, or a combination of both. What's difficult about this is that the timing is not black and white and depends on the situation. There are degrees to light tapping and how frequently you do it. It takes time to get a feel for the minute differences. Since long slide drifts are long you need to position yourself correctly to actually fit that long drift drift on the track. Therefore, understanding how to apply the Out-in-out racing line is also required to efficiently use the technique. When watching pro gameplay just focus on where they start and end drifts to learn positioning. This will give you an idea of how they apply the racing line. Good practice tracks are those with wide and long turns like Singapore Circuit, Korea Circuit, Bayside Bridge, Gold Rush, Miami. On these tracks can pretty much do long slide drift on almost everything that isn't a U-turn.

I appreciate the reply donut definitely gonna have to buckle down and learn these techniques properly ! I’m starting to think I’ve developed bad muscle memory . Started to do worse then my ghosts lol

i normally just time attack or play customs since the matchmaking is so bad

Why 7294 instead of 7492? Edit: Also, do you think using 7690 or 7591 would be ok for team speed mode?

its a safer build with the extra boost duration which i think is good for solo. Team mode i would do those builds with low boost duration like 7690.
