If I had one wish for Eclipse, I would've liked to see him fight Dark Gaia's minions. How would he fare against them? Imagine if Whisper and her Wisps took on Ellipse and his Dark Arms. I hope Sonic Team creates another Ultimate Lifeform, but this time with Mother Wisp's DNA.

Not to go off topic but, Sonic 06 despite its infamous history of rushed development and broken mechanics, Shadow has one of the best story arcs ever to grace the franchise. It established what future outcomes that goes in his direction and eventually he need to face a bigger threat.

A few ways I could see the Black Arms could make a return (depending on how “Sonic x Shadow Generations goes)if not in future games, is through a big story Arc in the IDW comics. Either like Archie's Sonic did with a separate group( or groups) who were off invading different worlds or perhaps a mad scientist( similar to Dr. StarLine) collected samples from the Invasion and brought them to the Space Colony Arc to run tests/experiments. Ending up creating a new generation/version of them similar to Eclipse or Shadow himself. Or a plot line involving the legacy of the Black Arms, perhaps Survivors of the worlds consumed by the Black Arms coming to Sonic's world(Mobius) to track down the last remnants of the Black Arms: Shadow, and or Black Arms Eggs that Black Doom could've stashed away somewhere.

Honestly, I really just want Eclipse to become Game-canon. At this point I don't really care how badly it's written because EVERYONE has been poorly written for a while now. Essentially, Eclipse becoming Canon could have a rough start and I would be fine with that, as long as he improves in writing alongside the other characters. He also has an advantage in that regard due to him not having much to him to worry about screwing up. He's dedicated to the survival of his species and swore revenge against Shadow. That is extremely simplified, which can be dangerous to do with a character, but as long as those 2 traits stick around, I am fine with WHATEVER we would get if he joined the canon cast.

while i find him having his own wisp a bit hokey do like eclipse handling the dark arms better being if shadow never moved on/if he fully turned and alongside being a rival to shadow(that we don't see done with outside crossover fights with vegeta/if sonic ever had a collaboration somehow with disgaea love to see him with laharl & killia/valvatorez or shadow be paralleled with iori from kof as outside the rival angle they are the most rather similar character-wise.:3)would've been interesting seeing him interacting with the dark gaia spawn or his wisp absorbing their energy if unleashed wasn't rushed.
