As a volunteer myself, I just wanna say thank God we have people like Lyn Stoler who are people of action. Unfortunately, for every young people like her who work for the environment, we have a thousand old naysayers and critics who do nothing but speak of the world as if they were intellectuals.

Thank the volunteers. Most volunteers I've worked with realize there's no great wompum guy in the sky. Thats why they give so much, they are the helpers and fixers. And shoulder responsibility of being a positive source. Peace

@@lilbear19601 Thank you, Sir. In my case, though, most volunteers I have worked with for the past two decades believe they are doing God's work. The volunteers I know, including me, do not believe in such things as God will just make things all right. We outgrow that logic where God and man are entirely separate entities and we see through that. There is indeed no "great wompum guy in the sky" because that God is in the hands of the people who keep others alive. The people I've worked with, and I, believe God works through us. Peace, Sir. Thank you. I don't speak for everyone, though. I just speak for myself and the people I work with.

It truly means just waiting for those who arent affected to finally see it for themselves. I love this.

I come from Perth Australia. The Anning industry was meant to submit a new planning code for medium density developments that would enshrine open space, trees, and well designed buildings. Instead, the government blocked the action citing the housing crisis and that it would drive up development costs. Understandable, though they scrapped the entire policy.

why always technosolution, why can't we think about changing our way of living, consumption, living in coordination with nature ?
@mitsuki13886 ай бұрын
We could but that would mean completely changing our way of produce and organize the society and there's a few very rich people that don't like this perspective (and honestly, only them, they're the only ones who would lose anything)

I have eco anxiety..as far as I know it's not a disease The issue of climate change should be imbibed from the childhood itself so that they can become better earthlings

Anger is the appropriate mental state not optimism

Right, this is really just new optimism and greenwashing using mental health as a springboard. Depressing in itself.

Look up Dr Judith Curry's perspectives on Climate change and its quite a contrast to what tinkerbell is telling us.

This is absolute rubbish! Eco anxiety exists purely to worry those who do not know any better!
