You can blow up a charge controller by exposing the panel to the sun without any load. Always connect first to the battery, then open up the panel. Have the full panel with no shading facing the sun at an angle of 45 degrees. Maximum power in strong midday sunlight. However i have the same panel and rarely get above 45 to 50 watts. You can use a watt meter to see how many watts it produces, or connect it to a solar generator with a display that shows the power going into it

Battery first then solar panels that controller can get damaged. Keep that up and your investment will go down the tube fast
