In Depth Review of the Eco-Worthy 120 watt foldable solar suitcase. We use this to maintain 2 x 12v RV batteries while dry camping. It works great. We also charged a dead vehicle battery and it started after 2 hours.

Thanks for sharing this info ... I just bought the 60watt panel setup and I will be using this video to learn how to read the controller ... thanks again

This is how a presentation should be made ! Have you considered to connect the panel to an MPPT controller, for better results ? Flexible solar panel on the roof of my van just give up , and this kit could be a good temporary solution, but probably I'm gonna try to use my old MPPT solar controller. Thank You !

PWM controller is adequate for my power needs at this time. May try a MPPT in the future.

hi can you tell me i have same controller but my arrow from panel to battery all blinks battery is charged and i have 13,7 volts
@kevlarmon54 Жыл бұрын
i thought the output list for this solar panel is 18v at 6amps? 13.5 x 2.6 is only 36wats :S?
@jogalong Жыл бұрын
same thought. The true power output is extremely poor
@bodrika4 жыл бұрын
Isn't that output a little low? In direct sun, a 120 watt panel should be putting out 4.5 - 6 amps (60 - 80 watts).
@BigGLittleo4 жыл бұрын
When camping, if I allow the rv batteries to get low, it will go above 5 amps in bright sun and perfect panel placement. But I usually keep it on every day and it feeds the battery only what it needs. It keeps my batteries topped up easily for dry camping. We run mostly small draw 12 volt devices, water pump, furnace, lights and operate our laptop on a small inverter.

@@BigGLittleo I was wondering the same as John P. Thanks for your reply. Do you think this would stand being outside almost permanently? Like being put inside just when it rains? I am considering buying one for camping during summer and to leave in my balcony during the rest of the year just to keep my battery devices charged or maybe get a grid tie inverter and use this to reduce my power bills a little.

I'm glad this panel was reviewed by Bonzai Buddy. But he only made one statement at the beginning.

I have the same panel. If you set the charge controller to lithium ion setting 606 you will increase charge voltage to 14.5 volts at 5.9 amps

Looking for a review of this product that shows FULL Current capability. So far these videos only show 75 - 80Watt panels
@martinh16183 жыл бұрын
Very good presentation. 120w are misleading in my opinion, even in your test the panel delivers a maximum of 40-60w
@kylequinn19632 жыл бұрын
This is what I'm saying, why are these panels allowed to advertise such high wattage when they never even approach what they're sold at? I have two 70 watt panels off amazon and they put out 30 watts. I'm probably going to return them and buy a proper bluetti panel or something.
@dfgatorfan3 жыл бұрын
These things should be rated at like 80w max. 120 is just absurd and sleazy marketing.

How well does it catch up charging, if it has been too cloudy for a while? Is the output continuity ok?

Great video thank you for your explanation but one question, I have 12v DC fridge so if I add to 12v output a cigaret light adapter am I able to run the fridge as in my car 12V plug doing?
@BigGLittleo3 жыл бұрын
12v fridge draw heavy power and do not cool that well. Recommend larger panel with 12v to 120v inverter.

How long do you have to hold the red button down for the other options to display? Nothing seems to happen on mine.

Hold the red button for about a count to three.

I have this panel 120 watts but when connected to my 12 -220 500 watts inverter he doesn't give any energy to the output. Also the usb doesn't work to charge a cellphone?? Multimerter reading from the panel gives likes 20 volts. maybe i'm doing the wrong thing. Could you help me in this matter?
@BigGLittleo3 жыл бұрын
18 to 20 volts is panel output to the charge controller, which feeds 13.5 v to the battery(s) being charged. I run my inverter off of the RV batteries, not directly off the panel. How is your inverter connected? Also, some of the earlier controllers needed to be hooked up to charge a 12v battery before the usb works.

@@BigGLittleo i don't use battery. Panel-controller-inverter system. If I use a converter DC DC could work?
