Hey everyone, in this video, I want to share my personal experience with the EcoFlow Delta 2, the latest portable power station from EcoFlow. I was looking for a reliable and versatile power source that could handle all my electronic devices during camping trips and power outages. The Delta 2 caught my attention because of its massive 2016Wh capacity and claims of powering larger appliances like a refrigerator or a power drill.
In this review, I'll cover the Delta 2's design, features, performance, and overall value based on my usage.
So, join me as I share my honest thoughts and opinions on the EcoFlow Delta 2. Whether you're an avid camper or want a backup power source for your home, this review might help you decide if the Delta 2 is the ultimate portable power station for you.

Love this video - helped me evaluate my actual needs and make an informed decision on this powerful Ecoflow Delta 2. Nice to see some Berkey action there. Grins, and gratitude. Happy trails all 🙏🏼🐾🎶

Well done Jack! More matter with less art. Only the facts! loved the simplicity yet easy to comprehend video. At 73 sometimes all the jargon on some of the videos loses me. I just purchased this for my 450 sq ft apt. mostly as back up for when the power goes out here. (happens often enough to make this purchase necessary). I have some medical equipment I need to keep going for real. caught a great deal one night on HSN picked this up with solar panels and power strip for $899.00.

Excellent video Jack. I was debating if Hackett or ecoflow and this really helped. You have a lot of redundancy with heat which smart. You may have done this on tic too, but would be interested in a video on the heat source product you have on the wall. You are awesome, stay free.

Hi Jack! 5.42 "you can also charge it through this DC Port as well and that's also how you charge it plug it in like this" WELL! These ports are outputs only. Charging from a 12V cigarette socket takes place using the same port as solar energy storage. Many KZbinrs like you just want to make money as easy as possible by posting videos. And this ease is not matched by fact-checking and proper scripting. The embodied subjectivity of the performer also supports the same - everything quickly and cheaply, and the ability to digest information is not the most important thing! And finally: Did I hear correctly that you gave a polite greeting to the viewers right at the beginning of the video? The first word should be "So" and such a conjunctive word at the very beginning of the show is not justified by anything other than the fact that it should be interpreted as a veiled greeting. A huge respect for that!

Be nice😂 this might be a dumb question... I plug my motor home into our house using an adapter that will plug into a regular outlet along with the 30 amp plug running from the rv.... now could I do the same with this?

I just bought the Delta 2Max with 2048 WH, it is 52 lbs. but no need for adding expensive batteries. I wanted something lighter but the power storage had to take priority, even with a bad back & neck problem, spending a bit more for the max is worth it. I will use any government rebates to get another solar panel.

It's always interesting to me when people call these "generators" and say they run off the sun. That is so misleading. They are battery-powered inverters with a variety of both DC and AC outputs. The batteries can be charged via AC or through a solar charge controller that is built into the portable power station, which is what these things are, not a generator. The EF Delta 2 is a good unit, but far from being the "ultimate". The cool thing is there are several very good options on the market, in numerous different form factors, to cover just about any situation from tent camping to whole-house backup power.

A traditional Generator converts gasoline to electricity. A Solar Generator converts photons (Sunlight) into electricity. However these portable power stations have batteries to store the energy that has been converted (or charged from the grid). If it did not have an MPPT solar charge controller it would be considered just a battery but that isn't the case with these units. If it were simply an inverter and a battery it would not be marketed as a generator because it is not. A generator takes a fuel source and converts it into usable energy.

@@bdsxh - No, a solar panel converts photons into electricity. The portable power stations have a charge controller which can manage the flow of electrons from the solar panel to power a load or charge a battery, but they do not "generate" the electricity. It's a matter of semantics, of course, but traditional generators produce a great deal of electricity using a fuel source that can generally be obtained and utilized 24/7. At best, a "solar generator" can produce a comparitively modest amount of electricity, when conditions are favorable, but never for more than a certain number of hours per day. By any reasonable measure, a real generator is worthy of the name, whereas these other products are cool and interesting, but let's not get carried way with how we describe them.

@@jasonbroom7147 Sorry, forgot to mention the panels thing. But Yes I agree it is kind of a semantics thing because the "fuel source" that solar generators use is the Sun compared to the fuel source traditional generators use is gasoline. Both of them can run out, and unless you know how to create Gasoline at home that is your bottleneck when it comes to backup power. Whatever gasoline you have stored is the amount of power you have available and its the same with the Sun. At this point it becomes accessibility. There is a reason people who live off grid use both solar AND gasoline for their power needs. It is not a matter of which is better but a matter of them working together. The sun is available 24/7 albeit not in a single area (unless you're in Alaska or somewhere like that). That energy can be taken and saved inside a battery (Fuel tank per Gas) however one expires naturally and one does not. Batteries are also expandable so it would almost be the same as just "refilling" your gasoline tank by changing out the battery to a new one while the other charges.

Delta 2 has pass through charging too that fossil fuel generators cannot do. In an emergency or in an apocalypse, where would you get FF? Just pull out the solar panels for free and infinite pass through solar power generation during the day and stored energy to use at night.
