In this video, I turn the power off to my home for 24 hours, mimicking a power outage and then show how I use the Delta Pro and extra battery during the outage.
This home is all electric. Later, I did another 24 hours power outage simulation in our new home, which has natural gas. I use different hardware. Managing the power is different as well.
I AM NOT AN EXPERT! HAVE A LICENSED ELECTRITIAN HELP YOU WITH THIS KIND OF SETUP!
I have an outdoor inlet that goes to the transfer switch should I decide to use only my gas generator instead, and I have an indoor inlet for the Delta Pro should I want to run just the Pro (Never plugged into the 2 inlets at the same time!). There is a changeover switch to isolate the inlets, but I manually unplug the other just to be sure.
I also demonstrate how I can charge the Pro with a dual fuel generator, using propane, through the outdoor transfer switch with the Delta Pro plugged into the house wall outlet (not plugged into the inside transfer switch).
Note: I can, instead, keep the Delta Pro plugged into the inside inlet to transfer switch while charging it directly from the outside gas generator from an extension cord running inside the house (In this case, the gas generator would not be plugged into a transfer switch).
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT setup for 240V! This is a 120V setup only. I do not run 240V appliances with this. You would need 2 Delta Pros and a special hub from Ecoflow for that.
If you try something like this, you should have some kind of change over switch or wired in such a way that only 1 transfer switch inlet can be run at anytime. I still unplug the "other" unit, just in case... DO NOT HAVE BOTH USING THE TRANSFER SWITCH AT THE SAME TIME!
If I choose to run only our 2 freezers, full size fridge, alarm, and hard wired smoke detectors, the batteries will last for about 35 hours on full batteries. This is without any input at all. But we will be running much more than that! I show how to manage the power...
You can download the data sheets you see in the video, and other forms as well, from my 3 part interactive video series that teaches you how to figure out what you can run and how long you can run it. Here is the link for the first video:

These are the cables I used to charge my Delta with the dryer outlet. They seem to run out of these cables at times. If it is out, just look for another brand. There is usually something available. NOTE: you should have your electrician confirm it is safe to do so...
