I use 2 parts self rising flour + 1 part NIDO (powdered cream) + 1 part water for a biscuit. Add more water to batter and becomes a pancake.

I suggest using ancient grains for this. Better for you.
@LoneStarPreppingСағат бұрын
Not everyone will have ancient grains available in an emergency situation to make this "survival flat bread". That being said, I am in the process of making a video about making some flat bread from freshly milled wheat berries, which may or may not include an antient grain. I make other breads from wheat berries that I mill as well.

14000 years ago they would have used wild grains and seeds which they would grind into flour. Domesticated agriculture didn't occur until 7000 years ago or thereabouts depending on location.

You have shown such a wonderful demonstration of homemade flatbread. ❤😊 If you've gas burner, you can go 1 step ahead - 1 ] Flatten the bread with the rolling pin as thin as possible, then 2 ] After placing the bread in the pan, wait for bubbles to appear, 3 ] then lift the bread with a metal tong, remove the pan from the flame with the other hand and flip the flatbread upside down directly onto the flame, 4 ] in just 2 seconds it will blow like a balloon, then flip it once or twice on the flame to get cooked a couple of seconds each side, then it's done! It's called 'phulka'. ❤ The science is, the moisture in the lower layer of the bread immediately vapourises after touching the flame and it creates air pocket as it can not escape, that makes the bread blow up round!

The heater worked the first day of usage with one canister of propane to heat an 8x8 room during tile installation. The second day and second canister of propane, the heater caught fire after about 10 minutes, with a loud roar and flames at the place where the canister screws into the heater. I removed the heater from the room and shut it off immediately, with the plastic already melted. I had previously tested the canister for leaking during the installation and it was fine. Then following the fire, I tested the canister on another device and it worked perfectly. I think there is a defect in the heater where the canister connects, and thought from the beginning that this was a "weak" point in this heater construction.
@LoneStarPrepping3 күн бұрын
I have had many comments about the heater, and have never heard of anything like this. For me, I have not had any issues since this video. Mine never leaked at the canister. Sorry this happened. Sounds like you did not test it for leaks at the canister before using it.

BROTHER, i2ta, the "weather map" you show, is it on you're phone, or pc?.. what is the app called you use, please brother. Im in italy, North Central 60k west of Milan, & our sky's are non existing, we have nothing to see of YAHWEH'S creation above us,...its hidden from us..its just a 24h day, non stop, continuously. When i look up & see 1 🛫 laying down a heavy💨💨💨 there are ALWAYS another 8 or 9 🛫 flying all at the same time, in different directions, at different altitudes, but always when there is one passing over, just looking up & around there are always many..& just until recently its really ramping up speed...its a full blown out & out sun block, & a mass overt experiment on us all... Id like to use the app that you use, so i can see whats going on behind the clouds, ..if you could name it, brother, id be grateful 👍

Looking forward to your video on the AquaTru water filter.....expensive, for us.....mixed reviews....looks like filters need frequent replacing and they don't sell some of them individually.... We have used a Berkey for well over a decade, with and without the fluoride filters..... Just put some of our existing water bottles, gallon AND 16 oz. in a slimline rolling container under the bed.....excellent idea!!!!

What's the ratio if you used whole wheat flour instead of white flour
@LoneStarPrepping11 күн бұрын
I dont know. I plan to try this with freshly milled flour soon, though. I imagine freshly milled and store bought WW flour, will need a little more water, and I would let the flour sit hydrated for at least 20 minutes to an hour first.
@RTAV10818 сағат бұрын
For that, just remove 3-4 table spoon water from the 1 part water as shown here. That's it. This is how Indian flat bread is being made in every household every single day since millenia. The ratio is - 40-45% water to whole wheat flour ie 2 parts water to 3 parts flour. Depends on wheat variety of your local produce. You will get it right with the feel of it. Works best when you let the dough rest for a couple of hours. The stickiness totally goes away when the dough is well rested. Do try it. That's why any Indian household lady will start cooking by first mixing the dough and then doing other side-dishes and rice. By the time other cooking is done, dough is rested and the rotis are made in the end so that fresh hot flat breads/rotis are on everyone's plate :) It's healthy without any yeast or vinegar or salt or literally anything being added to it. Just the natural taste of your country's local wheat ❤

Thank you for that excellent video. This is exactly what I was looking for. I live in Florida and have experienced no power for more than a week on several occasions. I do have solar for critical loads but that’s all single phase 120 watt. Your setup gives me an option just using a power station to heat up some water. I already have an outdoor shower but it doesn’t have heat. I plan to purchase that bucket heater.
