EcoFlow River Repair | Battery Not Charging | Dead Battery | Part 3 | Step-by-Step Instructions
Here is a little bit about my channel:-
Channel, "The Curious Brain": An Indian living in the USA who learned pretty much everything himself!!! Thanks to the KZbin platform and people for helping me archive my confidence to be able to successfully perform my DIY projects. Life is Busy in America as we know, so we have to be self-independent. In my opinion, most of us struggle with things breaking down every day/week/month or so!! If you own a car and house, you know what I'm saying. I think is so unfair that innocent people have to spend hard-earned $$$ (After TAX), and priceless time, and deal with the crazy world out there to get things repaired. I believe this is my opportunity (as my busy schedule allows) to create good content where I should share back tips & tricks to help others achieve their confidence with their DIY projects!
My goal with this channel is to start with DIY-related videos in English to help people with their DIY projects and being an Indian, planning to make videos in Hindi to help people in India with Visa/GreenCard/Citizenship related issues while sharing my journey/experiences/hiccups including my USA experiences from an Indian point of view especially after living in USA for 12 years and maybe more as I move forward on this KZbinr journey!
As far as my education, I hold 2 bachelor's and master's degrees in Cyber Security including over 10 years experience in IT Industry. I guess I can teach a lot of stuff via KZbin so why not start this Channel? Help me support this channel to keep me motivated including sharing your thoughts so I can invest more time to bring good valuable content to the table!
Again, thanks for all your support; rating the video and leaving a comment is always appreciated! :)

This is a great series of videos. Thank you for making them. I gave this a shot myself, but didn't have any luck. When I plug mine in, all that happens is a clicking sound inside every 10 seconds or so. When I give it 12 v through the solar input socket, 24 volts are going to the cells, so some things are working in there. I was able to get the cells charged up to ~3.1 volts. Is that just too low for the thing to start up? Everything inside looks good, no blown caps or scorch marks. Any ideas of what I could check?

What brand and model power supply are you using. Thanks for the great video! I had this exact problem

I am planning to make a detailed video on my power supply to help understand how exactly it works and how it's useful for pretty much anything. Meanwhile feel free to subscribe to help support channel.

Thank you for your step by step instructions. I need to buy a few tools first before I can assess the problem with my river flow but it seems like the same problem you have demonstrated here.

Great fix. Going to open mine up and see if I have the same issue. Mine's only charging through DC power, not charging via AC and can't even use the AC outlets. Getting overload error everytime I try using AC outlets. Do you have any thoughts on this particular issue on what the issue could be?

Definitely NOT a battery issue because like you said it's charging. So the battery portion is good. I'm pretty sure either some relay on main board or mosfet went bad. See if you hear click noise when you turn ac outlet on?

@@Xx_TheCuriousBrain_xX Yes there is a very noticeable, audible click when I turn the AC outlets on and the Overload text flashes. Would that be the mosfet?

So if you hear click, it means relay is good. Now seems like overlord message is preventing it to work like it's stuck on that message. Now I'm not sure how exactly it's programmed and what components trigger overload message. Maybe Google it to see if someone knows about it and maybe contact ecoflow directly if they have a way to reset it somehow?

Here is the link I found online, seems like it's a known issue and people couldn't figure out this issue yet...maybe contact ecoflow on this... checkout this link below: www.reddit.com/r/Ecoflow_community/comments/10funsh/overload_sign_on_display_heres_what_to_do/

Hello! Thank you very much for creating this series. I was able to take apart my little puppy...and after hooking up a multimeter all of my voltages = 4.04v. Reading the main board voltage = 20.4? I was hoping for a bad set of cells - but in my case, I have constant voltage. I am unable to turn on the machine...turns on then off. Any ideas on how to bring this back to life? Thank you again!!!

Thank you for the comment! Something doesn't line-up. They got 8S battery, so if you got 4v in each segment, then total voltage should be 32v or so not 20. Maybe check again, something doesn't seem right.

Sorry... battery voltage at the BMS = 31.92... the of things is that 31.92 is on initial startup of the BMS... if you come back afew minutes later... it shows 20.09? bottom line . i can't charge it.. and it will not turn on

Sounds like bad cells to me, when voltage with load drop and goes back up when there is no load. If you got bad cells, then charging individual cell won't help but you can confirm it by applying small load to each segment while using multi-meter to see if voltage stays same around 4v or drop or things doesn't work when you give small load. Just connect simply like small dc motor or light bulb or anything small dc power device on each segment to see if that works. I did the same in one of my hoverboard battery repair video, hope that helps!
