Black Ops 6: A Few Concerns for Launch...

So, Black Ops 6 is now 3 weeks away, it's right around that time when we're probably about to hear the game has been certified gold, is ready to press to disc and ship out if it hasn't already been and hasn't been announced. It's also the time when information is about to start rolling in as Treyarch even said next week we've got some good intel coming that will lead us up to launch so we've got a busy next few weeks leading to launch and then with launch but today I wanted to take a final bit of that radio silence and discuss a few things I'm still a little concerned for with the launch and beyond of Black Ops 6. I'd love for these items to be mentioned and elaborated on officially but who knows. you have to remember though , the main reason mw3 had such an incredible year of support is because that's pretty much all they had to do , they were tasked with adding on to an already finished game , we would have gotten significantly less if they also had to develop a game in tandem with what they did. while i champion the amount of cool content that we got it was most likely a punishment for having to have 3arc step in to make cold war and the delivering vangaurd. they got put on dlc detail basically , it was most likely there last straw before the became a support studio

When it comes to weapon variety in public games: They should do a xp bonus for certain weapons each week or so, like in mw3, but not only for weapon xp. One week you earn more general xp for weapon x, next week for weapon y and so on.

I would expect to see more weapon variety in game due to the Prestige system. I also wouldn't say that the Jackal was 'meta' - but it was a pre-order bonus Blueprint (and it seemed a LOT of people used that) but in week 2, by the end of the Beta, I was seeing a LOT of Tanto's - whether that again was because it was 'new' or is that the 'meta', OP compared to others in its class? There is usually some that may prefer a slower firing, more accurate weapon that deals more per shot whilst others prefer to have faster firing but less accurate because it suits them better. Its all well and good providing a build that suits say an aggressive, top tier player who uses the weapon in its optimum way to be aggressive, but that may not suit someone else who's more 'passive/defensive' and prefer to engage in a different way and range they may find that weapon/build not as effective. Just because something is 'popular', that doesn't always mean its OP or Meta. It maybe just 'new' so more people are using it, maybe its just middle of the road, average, and therefore suits more people - just because its 'easy' to use or not a high risk/high reward weapon. SMG's seemed to 'dominate', but then Maps felt 'small/cluttered' leading to a lot more CQC situations during a match. Also, Online Only makes no difference with 'ownership', you've never owned the 'Software' - just a Licence to access that software. The disc or internet is a delivery service to install Software on your system, but your 'licence' is either attached to your account (digital) or on Disc - hence you need to put the disc in the drive to 'verify' you have a valid Licence. Discs at least can be used 'offline' when you can't sign in to your online 'Account' to verify if you have a valid licence. If you can't play CoD because of Internet issues, you can't play Apex, Fortnite, Battlefield or any other 'Online' shooter. You can't play many games at all.

I don’t remember the exact specifics because it’s been awhile since I’ve had to deal with it, but the licensing thing on PlayStation has to do with the primary PlayStation on the account. I think it’s something like, if the game is owned by someone with that console set as the primary PS on the account, you can play offline, and if it’s set to a different PS, then it won’t be able to verify the license.

Even with a "physical disc" you are entering into a "license agreement" with the Publisher. The Publisher can change the terms at anytime, though the game would continue to play. It is one of the dirty little secrets of many softwares.

Well Said Espresso- This was the first thing I noticed in the beta. I found myself playing most maps saying, there’s no way competitive CDL Ranked Control or SND could be played on 95% of the maps we played during the beta. (Exception being Skyline and maybe 1 or 2 others). That’s not to say they won’t bring us new maps on the larger side.. and remakes, as the year goes on.. but if Ranked Play truly does start day 1,.. then it’s definitely concerning, and may take away some of the fun of the game, especially certain game modes.. and may burn people out. Control is going to be particularly interesting. Can’t wait to see those spawn traps! 😂😂😂

I have one concern for Black ops 6 and it is the weapons that come in the battle pass. The reason for this concern is that in the past we have had weapons that work well but don't do much damage or we have weapons that don't work well but have massive damage to the other players. I just want good looking weapons and wherever the term perfect can be defined on damage while playing the game in multiplayer or in zombies. I'm also concerned with how many weapons that they are going to produce for this game such as ARS , SMGs, machine guns, battle rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns and pistols and if you like launchers then those too. I'm hoping that we can have a great selection of weapons to choose from that have different damages, but yet are fun to play with no matter what we are in, such as multiplayer or zombies.

fact of the matter is that when it comes to new weapons, they will never balance it on release. they make the metas on purpose because it drives bundle sales. I mean it's a fast way to get the most op gun of the season. it's pretty smart but scummy at the same time. and when it comes to multiplayer, the new guns always dominate. that's why most people use them, not necessarily because they're new and cool.

One thing I don't like is how attachments are not unique one weapon, they're all relatively the same across the board. That said, the near lack of disadvantages to any attachments and removal of most (if not all) unnecessary attachments is a plus. There are still a dozen different sights to choose from that artificially increases each weapon's level cap. It is down from being half the total attachments, but it's still excessive. I like weapon customization and fell deep for it with Army Of Two: 40th Day. Haven't seen that level of customization since, but recent CoDs have been getting somewhat close albeit with horrible horizontal GUIs.

They literally said that the medium size maps are about the same size as raid and summit. Which are two perfectly sized maps. And weve already seen the medium maps and small maps in the beta. Why do you keep bringing up nuketown and shipment which have nothing to do with the medium size maps. Those have also been in pretty much every cod and have nevwr caused issues before. L take from espresso today
