Hey David, thanks a lot for the video! Definitely not something you have to do but I am glad you put it up here. I am an apprentice myself and have worked with a few Mechanics now that would sometimes take the Y2 terminal off and tape it or put a marrett on it. I've spent a little bit of time playing with economizers to try and understand them and found that you did need the Y2 terminal. I didn't know however that the module actually communicates with Y2 and can still economize and use a compressor. So far I have been setting up a Time Delay on make with the unit to energize Y2 after Y1 has been energized for a few minutes. This might sound like a ridiculous step to take but it was all I knew haha. Anyways, thanks again for the video it was very helpful!

Great video and detailed explanation. Much easier to follow than the OEM explains. When economies fails, most just pull the connector and install the jumper to eliminate the economist because the customers don't want to pay for these expensive option repairs especially when the anted of return is usually less than the expense. Still think you missed your calling, should ,vet been a teacher. Your ability to communicate is excellent.

Since parts are becoming less available for these you might consider a video on how to convert to Jade. The only functional difference is that you need to have the Jade module powered all the time. Not just on a live G signal.

Do you have to tell the thermostat that it is a 2-stage, even if it's a 1 stage? Or do you just have to run the Y2 wire as if it did have two stages? Great video. Very informative and thorough.

David, Awesome video. You mentioned at the end that you can test some actuators with the 9 volt battery. Do you know which honeywell acuators are 9Volt or where I can find that out? I have a carrier unit with a W7212 mounted on top of the M7215a actuator. Thanks
@davidharty36537 жыл бұрын
Timothy Pawlowski M7200 series actuator uses a 2-10v signal for its proportional control The 2 in 7200 tells you that actuator it's a 2-10v

Question, how does G get energized without power on R (broken by G open contacts)?
@davidharty36536 жыл бұрын
Reed Rutkowski / The “R” terminal has a constant 24v power supplied to it from the transformer at all times, I just didn’t draw that into my schematic here and drew out my schematic knowing it was hot but without ever showing it. I cant believe I never drew that into my print :)) Good Find Reed and thanks for sharing that, and I’m the guy who’s always preaching to never assume anything....

8:50-9:30 still confusing. why water will leak if only #2 evaporator work? the moisture into the air will condense on the surface of fin and flow down to the drain pan.
@hangngoaigiare7 жыл бұрын
water not falling fast enough and the wind from blower fan will blow water all over. When both evaporators work however water less likely be blow off the 1 evaporator due to lower temperature of the evaporator.
