The reason I did not buy Jeep Compass was that our primary choice was a C-segment SUV. When we saw all cars and finally saw the Ecosport, we all collectively approved that car then and there. Other than that, Jeep is a segment above and since we had maintenance in mind, Jeep's maintenance would obviously be more than that of Ecosport, including annual insurance costs. Third, it was offering a lot of tech but we did not need all of that. We wanted a strong built car with all essentials that were coming along with the Ford. In conclusion, we have a mentality of keeping a diesel car for 5 years and then selling it off. After proper analysis, it didn't seem sensible to buy such a costly car for just 5 years when we were getting all our boxes checked at half the price. Ford was a choice of all members of our family and has been light on the pocket as well. These were the reasons we didn't buy the compass and went for the Ecosport.

Everything is hard in Ford...I got muscle pain by operating clutch, gear ,accelerator...Hard and stiff suspension... Irritating rear door sound..Worst engine guard placement...Only 5 gears for 13 lakhs...Useless sunroof...Less space in rear seat...difficult Side opening of rear door while parking...female can't open the rear door due to heavy weight of spare wheel...rear camera is placed down to earth which will get shaded in rainy days..poor response by service people ...less service centres..ES will become more dirt during rainy days than other vehicles..2nd gear is almost dead... Vehicle struggle to run in hilly areas..Thick A piller which obstruct the view in turning and overtaking...It goes on...So I sold Ecosport last week to buy creta...
