if you don't mind. This 'x1sClk' system bit, I noticed it's toggling on and off every 1 second. Can you help me understand - does that mean it's on for 500ms and then off for 500ms, making the full cycle 1 second as %s6 in machine expert basic or control expert ?Or is it on for the full 1 second and then off for the next 1 second, so the complete cycle is 2 seconds? Just want to make sure I understand how that bit is behaving.

Hi there! it generates a signal with 500ms in TRUE and 500ms in FALSE state. You can double check it using a trace :)

Hi there! I do not know if in simulation the library works. You should try it with the real controller.

Hi there! Very good question. If I am not wrong that variable works using the real plc. You can replace that by using a blink function

Hi to1 to1! Please take a look in the next video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6e6qqZ-Z8ykr9E If there is a issue check if you have a license for the software i am not 100% if the free allows you to simulate the plc. ( also activate the simulation in the software and login)

Hola Nestor, tengo entendido que el simulador es limitado cuando usamos librerias dedicadas a comunicacion por ende el email handling no deberia funcionar. Deberias probarlo con un plc (Puedo estar equivocado)

Hello, What should I do, when I don't see "Simulation Device" in MyController Communication settings menu?

Hi poweska89! If you do not see the "Simulation Device" it could mean that the simulation is not activated, please go to "Online > Simulation" then you should be able to see a SIMULATION red square box at the bottom of the software. If that does not work then i recommend you to execute from windows the software "SoftSPS". If you still do not see it then do not worry after the activation of the simualtion try to logic and the software will try to connect to the nodename "MachineExpert_Simulation" that has the controller name "Simulation device" then it will show up there.

@@LeTomasAHUMADA Hello, I can run simulation and check that program is working etc.. SoftSPS is running, I can See "Codesys Control WiN V3" in communication settings. Problem is that, I don't have this nodename "Simulation Device" . I need this becouse I want to run simulation of HMIST6 as well, so in EOTE software need to be fill simulation device node name :/

@@poweska89 you will need to use the nodename “MachineExpert_Simulation” in eote. If this does not work try to open machine expert as admin or try to update to the latest version of the software. If the problem persist i totally recommend you to contact the tech support of schneider in your country

Does the modbus tcp master work in simulation?

Hi Mischa de graaff! I am afraid that in simulation the communication feature do not work (as far as i know…) . The only one available to use is the “machine expert protocol” in case you want to simulate the connection to a simulated hmi using vijeo or ecostruxure operator terminal expert.

How can I simulate the digital input/outputs? If I start simulation the IDE tells me the bus for inputs and outputs is not running (M241).

Hi Marcel H, if i am not wrong you can force the value of the IO and then it will affect the code 😊
