First look at the Ecotech Marine Versa. This is the first device to exclusively use Mobius. It's the first peristaltic pump designed for all reef tank needs.

Thank you for the insight, would you be able to say, dose small amounts forty times in a 24hr period, like kalk for example Once again thanks.
@Effortless_Perfection4 жыл бұрын
That's an excellent question, the current version of Mobius caps the amount of individual events within a 24 hour period to 30 times, however, if it were me, instead of having it dose every 36 minutes (40 times a day) I would program the pump to run continuously at the rate you want. For instance (for the sake of easy math) if you dose 10ml 40 times a day (total of 400ml/day), you can do the math and have it run in "Constant" mode at the rate of 3.6ml/min. Not only will that make things easier when programming, but it will also help stabilize your tanks parameters.

@@Effortless_Perfection thanks for the reply, I need to do the math for 3 litres over 24hr, around 2ml a minute , once again thank you

Say I want to use this as an auto top off, how would I do that? Can I use an apex breakout box and float switch to control when the versa pumps fresh water for top off?
@Effortless_Perfection4 жыл бұрын
Definitely, just plug the versa power supply into an apex controlled outlet and program the apex accordingly. I did hear that ecotech is working on an accessory for an ATO, which will be so much easier to program.

Jimmy Sisterlimonpot I’m in the midst of upgrading tanks, I think I’m going to use my old ATO for now, I plan on picking up the pack of 4 w/ power station in the next 6-8 months (I’m going to wait to buy it until my tank actually needs me to dose alk and cal) since it’s a new tank and won’t even have frags in it until 3 months from now, I won’t even need to dose supplements until quite a few months from now until the corals grow. This ecotech unit looks great though, I’m hoping by the time I buy one they will have released an ATO sensor additional that will work with it. I would like to run an ATO, dose aminos, and dose alk and calcium with the 4. And this unit looks perfect for that.

hi, i see in your video that when programing your pump say vodka on custom you have three tabs auto,manual,constant i only have manual and constant tab. would you know why is that and how can i add auto tab under a custom setting ?
@Effortless_Perfection4 жыл бұрын
Auto was in the beta release, it didn't do anything. As I recall it was supposed to be a smart way to have your versa('s) dose solution(s) throughout the day as to not conflict with other schedules. example: if dosing trace elements it would dose right before peak lighting schedule, if dosing 2 part, it will space alkalinity and calcium so that it doesn't precipitate etc. I think as Mobius becomes more integrated we will see auto show up.

Hello, can you control de versa anywhere you are as long as you have wifi? I've heard that it doesn't have wifi but only bluetooth. thanks
@Effortless_Perfection2 жыл бұрын
Correct, the Versa doesn't have the capability to connect via wifi on its own, it can only connect to wifi if you have a Gen 5 Radion. AS of right now Gen 5's are the only equipment offered my Ecotech that has wifi connectability and in turn can communicate with all other Ecotech equipment that has BLE capabilities.

@@thehumuyopi76 Contact ecotech marine customer service and let them know you'd like to be added to wifi. You'll need to give them the email address associated with your mobius account. It may take a day or 2 for them to get you set up.

I dose only 2 ml a day. How small can it dose?? Could i break 2 ml into multiple doses???
@Effortless_Perfection4 жыл бұрын
You can break it up into 24 micro doses if you want. It will dose as low as 1.0 μl per minute. Which is slower than if you told it to dose 2 ml in a 24 hour period.
@TJXIONG4 жыл бұрын
Can it go up to 200 mL per min? Ecotech advertises that it can go up to 300 mL per min.
@Effortless_Perfection4 жыл бұрын
For dosing, it can ramp up to 300 ml/min. For constant use the max is 200 ml/min.

need help with this pump...I want to dose 100 ml. I set the time for 10min 7:50 to 8 am, under dosage I try to enter 100ml and it says "volume to small". What?? Can't do 100ml in 10 min. No that is not in because if I put in 5000ml it tells me volume to small. OK...maybe there is an issue with the rate. There is a Rate tab. I go to that tab and enter 50ml/min. Now it says "under min rate"...what the heck. OK there is an Auto tab, I assume that is to auto dose under a set schedule. I enter "100" in daily dose tab and get "under min rate" $%$#^@^@#%$@# I am ready to smash this thing. Worse part is when I called Ecotech they referred me to this video...THERE ARE NO OTHER INSTRUCTIONS...ANYWHERE.

I understand frustration, let's walk through this, First thing first is to make sure we're on the same page. At the top of the Versa sub menu is 2 tabs (sounds like you're a mobius beta tester and have 3 tabs). From left to right, Auto (beta), Manual, and Constant. Even if you have Auto, there's no action that can be taken at this time, and if for some reason there is, you have a version of Mubius that shouldn't have been released. I wouldn't use it until they finish that portion of the software. Let's assume that you're under the Manual tab and you already added at least 1 scheduled event to start at 7:50AM and stop at 8:00AM. Within that 10 minute window you have the 2 sub tabs Dosage and Rate. Under the Dosage tab you added 100 ml (which the software automatically calculates rate @ 10 ml/min. and you have an error message "volume to small"??? That doesn't make sense because I just added those numbers to both an Android and Ios device and it didn't give me an error. I even went as far as to try to recreate the error and couldn't. 1 thing I need verified is, Are you programming in the Manual tab? A few things to try, I'm thinking that you might have played with other numbers in the Rate sub tab and then tried to add 100 ml in the Dosage sub tab which conflicted with the previous numbers you added. Go over to constant, set an arbitrary number 10 ml/min, Save it, then go back to Manual and don't add anything into the Rate sub tab, in other words add the 100 ml to the Dosage sub tab and save it. Let me know if this works, I will continue to try and recreate the problem on my end. I'll wait your reply.

@@Effortless_Perfection I think I figured it out when you said go to the "constant" tab. To me that means run constantly and I used that to prime the pump. I assumed that was to add a specific dose of something and did not affect the daily dosing. It definitely does though. There is a max dose per day that I had set to 50ml to prime the pump. Still I was getting the wrong error. If constant is set to 50ml per day and I try a manual of 100ml I should have got "volume to large" not small. Anyway, I got the one 100ml dose in for today at 1:15pm so I am standing by to watch it. On another note. How did you prime? I did it a second time using the "pump Forward" button, but that is press and hold. I would like to prime hands free.
@Effortless_Perfection4 жыл бұрын
@@scbill88 Good to hear, I didn't even think to have you reset the "Max daily dose" and "Max Dose rate" that definitely was the problem. the purpose of going over to the Constant tab and Saving it, was to reset the information stored in the Manual setting. As far as priming hands free, the only way I can think of is to select the "three water droplet" icon next to the "gear" icon and add the numbers in there.

How is noise level ?
@Effortless_Perfection4 жыл бұрын
It's definitely hard to tell in the video with all the ambient noise in the fish room. Depending on pump speed, it can be whisper quiet, get it going at max speed and you can hear the mechanics moving. definitely quiet compared to all other peristaltic pumps.

Best bet is to contact Ecotech Customer Service. But something to check is to make sure the tube or barb fittings are fully seated into the push to connect fittings.
