It doesn't have a water reservoir on the robot itself, it doesn't empty it's dirty water and leave filled with clean water, it's just the mop heads that are holding the clean water and then the station washes them out when it returns. The hot water is used to wash the mop pads in the station, by the time it leaves, they/the water is down to room temp. You say it stops spraying water on the carpet, it doesn't spray water on hard floors either, it just wets the mop pads to go out and scrub

I like the idea of not having to vacuum myself but I’m guessing we still need a vacuum cleaner besides the robot cleaner any response?

These do a great job of keeping the floors clean, but you would still need a vacuum cleaner to get in the corners. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍

Does it use any soap? Considering you have to clean the machine does it really save time?

It is a bust. Once I buy a product for my use, I do not agree with a company telling me how to use it. My phone is a phone not make for other companies to have access to it.
