@@annemariethebaud8430 bonjour, I’m sorry to hear that. The only spring I can think of is the one in the wheels that help push the wheel down. I recommend watching my other driving wheel videos on my channel, as it shows how to put the sprung arm back in place properly. Is it’s not in place properly then the wheel won’t push out correctly.

G’day mate. I rarely comment on KZbin videos but used yours this morning to replace my beebot main brush. I was ready to throw out the entire Robo. Ordered the part online for about $20, followed your video and now it’s back and running good as new. Thankyou very much, great instructional.

Thank you for making this video, a new motor was £7 vs £160 for a replacement bot. I can’t believe how much we’ve come to rely on these things - while it was out of action vacuuming manually was so time consuming!

Thanks for the video. 1. Which screw drivers do I need ? 2. How do I remember which screw/part goes where 😂
@ENTHUSE_Me
@ENTHUSE_Me Ай бұрын
@@Rusty0007 hi mate, all you need is a regular Phillips screw driver and also a fine Phillips of size 00 or similar for the smaller screws. Good question! I place all the screws from the different areas in distinct piles and also use my memory to a certain extent. You could use a magnetic mat like this one below to help organise the screws better 🤪 s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mOhXiqr

Hey Andrew, do you know how can I figure out which motor needs to be replaced? Mine is making a loud nice when it starts as if bearings are broken or something but can't make out if its main motor or side brush motors. Also thanks for the full video on disassembly!

Hey mate, not too sure, but you could try take out the main brush first and run it to see if the sound is less and then if it is, will likely be the problem. Feel free to subscribe and help motivate me to make more videos of this kind of stuff. I appreciate your comments

Where are two listle spirals located? When I opened it up it just went flying out
@ENTHUSE_Me
@ENTHUSE_Me 10 сағат бұрын
Hey 👋 the d-tof sensor or spinning lidar sensor on top of the machine lives under the cap with 4 screws, underneath this cap there are round recesses where these little springs sit. I fairly certain that is where the springs you are talking about came from.

Did exactly as you showed. Reassembled and now I get a 406 error indicating the Wi-Fi isn’t working. I think I might have damaged the ribbon putting it back together. Not sure.
@ENTHUSE_Me
@ENTHUSE_Me Жыл бұрын
Oh no, sorry to hear that. It’s worked fine for me each time I have done this. First thing I would try is a restart and try re-pair it. If that doesn’t work, you may have to carefully open it back up and make sure everything is connected properly and that no wires were pinched between components when putting it back together.

I restarted multiple times. I’m not sure what happened. I hate those little ribbon serial cables that connect auxiliary boards. They never work again after I disconnect and reconnect them. Thanks for the video, man, I really appreciate it. But this one is going in the trash and I’m getting another iRobot. I have two 800 series that are like tanks. Both still run. Easily fixed when they break. Should have stuck with iRobot and now I regret buying this Chinese POS.

The same thing happened to my ECOVACS N8 Pro+ after two years of use. The tassels on a rug killed it. I had tried to block the area off in the map, but the damned thing forgets the layout and constantly has to remap the whole house… and when it does it eats the tassels, which eventually killed the gear on the drive motor.
@ENTHUSE_Me
@ENTHUSE_Me Жыл бұрын
Yes its extremely annoying how easily the gear stripped, we have two of these and both have now done it.. However, ours was when the main brush gobbled up the kids shoelaces and string from their toy train. Hopefully you found this video helpful as the parts are cheap and the repair is easy enough. Just a bit of a mission to get to the motor itself. Please like and subscribe if you found value, I have more content ideas up my sleeve so would appreciate the following

Hiya! How did you know it was time to change the motor? My robot has been making a louder sound than usual when it’s doing its thing, and I’m wondering if it’s a motor issue as well. Thank you!
@ENTHUSE_Me
@ENTHUSE_Me 5 ай бұрын
Hi there, Thanks for Watch and for your comment! I’ve just acquired another T9+ with the same issue and it’s very squeaky but the main rotor is now only spinning occasionally, so will make a video about that also once the new motor arrives. This issue seems to be quite common as the small gear is easily damaged when shoe laces or large objects etc repeatedly get stuck in the main roller brush. If it’s worn but still spinning, I believe it’s highly likely that the small gear on the motor is starting to wear out and a new motor should fix it. As you see in the video, replacement is not for the faint hearted but can be done with patience and determination. However, first thing I would do is take out the main brush and make sure it’s clean and any caught debris is removed (especially around the ends) All the best! I would really appreciate if you Like and subscribe. if you haven’t done so already 😀

@@ENTHUSE_Me ah I see thanks. You mean that the teeth of the gear has probably worn away right? I’m literally in the midst of dismantling now, taking photos of my screws and following your video as I go along! The hardest parts so far have been removing the white body case off due to the clips. Yours are probably loose as you’ve done this a few times I believe? Already subscribed too, thanks for the quick reply too cheers

@ENTHUSE_Me
@ENTHUSE_Me 8 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear that mate. what I would potentially try if this happened to me is. - check to see if it gives you an error message after going backwards. For example. “Please clean the drop sensor” and if it does then that will help point out what the problem is. - I suspect that either something is still unplugged or a wire is pinched/damaged. Some wires run very close to the housing joints, so I would carefully open it again and look to see if any wires are kinked or jammed between parts. Really hope you can get this sorted! Where in the world are you located?

Yeah it says about the drop sensor. I pulled most of it apart except the wheels. I’ll dig a bit further tonight and hopefully get it working again! And from Aus 🤙🏻🇦🇺
