However, I have never seen anyone asking about his status or citizenship in Ghana. I have heard that he's lived in Ghana for the past 26 years. For your information ECOWAS is not a sovereign country and therefore its laws DO NOT super-cede that of any ECOWAS member country's own local laws. This is why your country, Nigeria, sent packing Ghanaians and other ECOWAS nationals during the so called "GHANA MUST GO" episode in 1983 regardless of ECOWAS. Do your research on ECOWAS rules, and you would easily find out that, it DOES NOT give any ECOWAS member citizens the right to re-locate to another member country permanently without the due process put in place by that targeted country of sojourn.
