Did they leave ECOWAS of their own volition or were they expelled? If they were expelled shouldn’t they have been told not to leave until they had served out their year’s notice? What did you expect them to do after being kicked out? Tell you, “We cannot leave now until we have served our year’s notice or Shouldn’t that have accompanied the notice ordering them to leave your prestigious organization? Do you really expect these leaders who have demonstrated to be leaders of worth with ability and dedication to make a difference for their people, you really expect them to heed your call? Why don’t you join them considering they are doing horrendously well; Leaders to be emulated. You would do better by joining them. There is strength in UNITY sirs.

They weren't kicked out. They were sick and tired of being screwed over by the West. When Niger overthrew Bazoum, ECOWAS threatened to invade IF Bazoum wasn't reinstated. That lead to Burkina Faso and Mali rising to Niger's defense. After all that, the 3 countries withdrew from ECOWAS.
