For Rosemary, a mother of 4 and grandmother of 6, 'diversity' was non-existent during her formative years! A 5th generation Australian from predominantly 'Anglo' heritage, it was pretty much a mono-culture growing up in a remote farming region surrounded by WWII veterans and their families.
Today however, she has much more knowledge and experience of the myriad of varietal formations of each human body and the effect that each person's upbringing can have on their understandings and behaviours into their future. Rosemary has worked in Family Day Care, Long Day Care and in TAFE Early Childhood Teaching but for the past 18 years she has been Teacher/Director at a 28 place Occasional Child Care Centre in Coffs Harbour, NSW Mid North Coast.
Caterpillar House has an extensive history of welcoming newly arrived migrants and refugee families. This reputation also attracts a higher percentage of other NESB families.
