This is probably my favorite video I've made and it's been treated horribly by the algorithm (due in part to multiple copyright takedowns by Masterclass). If you're one of the few that come across this video and connect with it, please like, comment and subscribe.

This is one of the best videos I've seen in KZbin that I can recall. I mean it with no sarcasm or exaggeration, I am truly in shock and awe, I think I need to take a walk after having watched it. Thank you.

I was feeling blue and sleepless, so typed Werner Herzog into the KZbin. Joaquin Phoenix has a great story about being found in a car accident by Herzog, and was immediately calmed by his soothing voice - I feel the same way. Great vid btw, look forward to more!

This essay is so beautifully crafted. It must be my favorite one on the subject of Herzog. I already send it to a few friends to show them what I love about Herzogs approach to uncovering truth. I only discovered it when manually looking up ecstatic truth specifically. It was beautifully done and it made me feel connected in silence and darkness. Thanks for your effort.

Your video essays are magnificent. Please keep making them, for they are truly insigtful inquiries into the heart of cinema.

When scientific observation becomes disembodied from ecstatic truth we sink back into primordial chaos, but even after our world is shattered, even after our understanding is negated, even after it seems that nothing can provide meaning or unite us with others, there still lies an essential human truth that can only be found in the brilliant darkness of a hidden silence. It is up to us to embody that human truth-we are desperately feeling in the dark and trying to communicate with others and sometimes out of the chaotic and different world around us we can recognize ourselves in someone else and someone else in ourselves and in those moments we are no longer alone.

Thank you for this video, there's a notion about aesthetic sincerity I was trying to research on but it seems many haven't talked about it. I learnt about ecstatic truth in film class, and it's the closest thing to that concept

brilliant... Herzog has cemented his ecstatic ideas into my head this past year . I'd say this essay amongst others is reinforcing these ideas. Thank you.

I think we could call Carl Jung an Intrusnaut. (I may be faulty on the latin so adjust it to make it better) You my friend are an Intrusnaut, the explorer of the scariest frontiers.
