Expedition 65 is an accomplishment, but it really makes me appreciate what Itchy Boots does.
@rustyevolution62983 жыл бұрын
Itchy Boots also has a much smaller budget which makes a huge difference. No chase vehicle, no logistics expediter, no pre-arranged tour guides. If you like Itchy Boots then you will love Pedro Mota who takes it even further.

Stark contrast to Noraly doing it solo. I think solo would make the experience deeper and richer being more in touch with the cultures as you engage locals on a more personal basis than you can as a group which tend to be more threatening to an individual.

I thought I’d mention this to all of you watching and dreaming of this ride. A friend of mine, Canadian, runs a tour company in Guatemala and runs Honda XR250s. It’s a fantastic way to see the jungles and even pyramids of Guatemala and enjoy amazing riding. And they will set up longer rides through Central America. Motorcycle Adventure Guatemala is the team, and David is great. Not a 75 day tour through South America, but a great alternative.

Man, the comment about the large group and pandemonium resonates with me. I’ve led a number of folks down to Guatemala and some groups were 8-10, which in itself is a bit large for me. I prefer 3-5 riders in a group, especially when dealing with Latin American traffic! Chaos is the rule from Mexico southward.

To pay that kind of money, with such little organization, must have been VERY frustrating. It's almost funny how it's played off at the beginning of this video....when the reality was that it was a clusterfu*k....as we use to say in the military......LOL Sure hope it gets more organized as the trip goes on!
@SterlingNoren3 жыл бұрын
This was not a commercial tour. Nobody paid anybody else to organize anything. All of the participants had to work together (or not) to make it happen on their own.
@jimsnider39713 жыл бұрын
@@SterlingNoren I understood that part, but it's still an expensive venture. I guess the confidence in planning this was just a bit too high, considering the issues you've encountered so far in the series. I'm sure it all works out fine in the end, but the takeaway might be to hire professionals for large group rides like this.....especially when done in a foreign country.
