"In this moment with sunlight above..." It has been most of a lifetime since we were young and the world was bright. Back then, cancer separated us in this life, but not in the next. Although I am now grayed, bent, and limping, my cup still runs over with love. We were not allowed to grow old together, but we will share eternity together. I will always love you.

During the Viet Nam war, I met my 1st husband. We heard this song playing on Ft. Sam Houston,Texas. It became our song. The next day was his birthday and he asked me to marry him. 9 months later he returned and we were married. In the dining room he asked the pianist to play our song. 2 days later he left me for Viet Nam. Less than 2 months later he was returned to Ft. Sam Houston's famous Burn Ward in Critical Condition. Jesus called him home less than 3 weeks later. For Christmas I gave him a pair of blue baby booties and our record. I still have Ed Ames ' record. I don't have my husband or our son. Ed's voice was so magical.

I have loved this song since I heard it as a child, probably on Ed Sullivan Show. Of course, the Daniel Boone show was a weekly favorite and we loved Mingo. Mr. Ames, your voice is a treasure and this video proves that it has improved over the years. That is a rare gift and am so happy to have found this video. Thank you for being an elegant, intelligent, and caring man. I doubt we will see anyone come close to your equal in the future.
