Many years ago at the wax museum in Los Angeles I saw one of Ed Asner and was blown away by it. Even the hairs on his arms looked so real.

Great video. The Mary Tyler Show was the easy winner. It had the best ensemble cast of any tv show ever made. There were no weak links. Loved the show

I loved the MTM show and never missed it when it was new. I liked Lou Grant also. I also still enjoy it on reruns. I think it still holds up.

@David Erickson I think the show reflected that. You could hardly call Lou Grant conservative and snobby (not you- I'm referring to Mike Burns comment) It tackled abortion, gun control and immigration as well as other issues that conservative shows would've run a mile from
