About the Podcast:
BOB SAGET’S HERE FOR YOU is a podcast that is like no other- Because it goes inside Bob Saget’s mind, and then quickly filters out through his mouth. Bob has a way of calming people with genuine empathy and humor while they’re going through a difficult time, which we all are at present. Reaching his unusually diverse audience that he talks to as a friend, Bob is the dad with great advice, the irreverent funny guy who’s always there when you need a laugh, and the free-associative Bob who goes off on crazy tangents then returns to the subject at hand, as serious or as comedic as it may be, to wrap up each episode in a way only Bob can do. Because he really does believe, “He’s here for you."

Ed sadly died a few days after this was filmed and Bob sadly less than 5 months after it was filmed. Ed fortunately lived until 91, but Bob unfortunately only made it to 65.

This is why his death hurt me so much. He was much younger than people like Betty White, Sidney Poitier, John Madden, and Ed. He was on podcasts often. You don't think that he would die the next day. It wasn't like Norm Macdonald who was secretly battling an illness.

I'm so grateful that you did this interview with Ed Asner, Bob. And he was right...you are special. My heart has always appreciated both of you because, even through the mask of your acting stage presence... each of you have always been unable to hide your true ... Beautiful, humanitarian personalities...in other words...your true colors always shine through. Blessings to you and yours...and this world that I join you in having hope for.

Thank you so much, Bob. So glad you interviewed him recently. So sharp and quick with classic Ed responses which remind me of Lou Grant. He played Lou Grant perfectly thanks to Gavin for stepping aside and wanting to play Murray. I can't imagine anyone else playing Mr. Grant. A true professional, getting his head stapled and going right back to work on UP. Wow! God bless his family and friends. He will be treasured by all his fans living a wonderful life and still working in his 90's. Looking forward to more interviews. This was my first one. David Davis (no relation to MTM producer) is our fabulous Admin of the MTM FB fan page - mentioned it in comments. Take care.

RIP Ed. When I think of Ed Asner, I think about more than his live action work, but the voice acting work (even leading up "Up"). Back in the 90's, he played Hudson among the star-studded cast for "Gargoyles". He then gave a portrayal of DC's "Granny Goodness" character that still comes first to people's minds when they think of Granny Goodness.
