Congratulations to Mr. Ed Dwight the astrological scientist first! I am so thrilled that I met his extraordinary sister Mrs. Liz Chow, who is a phenomenal historian of the African American legal impactful in property and home ownership for African Americans across the country. And who introduced me to her creative and talented brother. These two people are both filled with wisdom and knowledge! Thank you for fulfilling Mr. Dwight’s mission and dreams! You have no idea how this event will change history forever!

Yes, I know the arguments. But can't we celebrate this man's achievements and his dreams to go to space? Can't we have a heart? Congratulations, Ed. May you live long enough to ride to one of the new Stations, but for now, enjoy the view and know that people of all colors and all decades ride with you.

@@Fatpumpumlovah2 well it is technically space, in the same way you technically were in the cold bath. It's just, getting into orbit is so much more impressive and difficult, as is fully submerging yourself in the cold bath. Shame BO haven't made as much progress as we wanted to see 5 years ago. NG probably won't launch before I die at this rate, whereas SpaceX are on the bring of developing a moon worthy starship lander

@@naokid7329 I guess you didn't pay any attention to space news the last four months or so. New Glenn rolled to the launch pad for cryogenic propellant loading tests, and Blue Origin is now preparing that same pathfinder for a series of test that will cumulate in a static hotfire test, perhaps this summer, if all goes well. And if every goes to plan that, another New Glenn could lift off as soon as September 29 with the two ESCAPADE spacecraft to Mars.

@@nowhereman1046 eh. The thing that rolled onto the launch pad wasn't anywhere near even flight worthy. Mishmash of flight worthy components, prototype parts and just straight up missing others. I'll see it when I believe it. I love the design though it looks brilliant, especially the two base fins and the massive fairing

I'm glad to see Ed Dwight go into space. I've read several books about the early space program where Kennedy wanted an African American astronaut and he was the closest qualified. Astronauts like Michael Collins said the astronauts would have welcomed an African American astronaut but I'm sure the old heads like Deke Slayton (who didn't want anyone telling him who to choose as an astronaut) and Chuck Yeager who officially brought in tutors because Dwight didn't have the qualifications but unofficially ran his mouth about the whole thing. Nevertheless, the space programs loss was the art worlds gain. I've seen his work in Detroit.

So he did not need tutors he was in the top of the class. He was and still is extremely bright, and if Yeager brought in a tutor it was probably for himself.

We are victims survivors of what the United Nations has defined Cybertorture. It will be a ugly stain on history. Today I have a connection sitting next to the Martin Luther king Jr statue in Denver City Park which is how I came to pass. I can only pray there are good people still out there who see our struggle and know we are fighting for humanity. Blessings

So in other words after all these years, we hear naza was or is a racist organization!! You are watching a video featuring the first African American astronaut candidate, and you’re referring to “these people.” Ed Dwight was nominated by President Kennedy. But once President Kennedy was murdered, Ed Dwight’s chance of officially becoming a NASA astronaut also perished. The point is: he was the first African American astronaut candidate, and you’re referring to “these people.”

@@mm-hl7gh no, she's just triggered because I didn't specify names due to historical significances and I said "these ppl" I could have said they.. or them and would still have triggered her. I was meaning with consideration of cry baby bezos, no one can do better than him and if so, he has to buy the easy way to be competitive without product. Just like with the moon contract, bezos nor does blue origin (at the time) had anything orbital, let alone lunar, bezos lost the contract to spacex, bezos cried and sued his way into the contract for the moon... Hence why I joke with Did bezos pay to have the Kerman line dropped so the riders can be called astronauts.
@freelancerjourn
@freelancerjourn Ай бұрын
@@mm-hl7gh Yes, I’m well aware that he was referring to people who are able to purchase flights. But this video was not about them. This video was really on Mr. Ed Dwight, who was well qualified to be an astronaut, and was nominated by President Kennedy. But his race prevented him from becoming a NASA astronaut. This video was clearly meant to celebrate Mr. Ed Dwight who at 90 years old, is finally able to realize his dream of going to space.
