he’s credited in the intro and outro of this video, and his artwork hasn’t been used since this first video over a year ago. His discouragement isn’t attributed to me, as he would’ve expressed as much to me directly a while back. This video was created out of my love of the source material, and I always credit my sources. Stop trying to stir up drama between two creators. I’m not about that life.

This hits me so hard. Couple days ago two friends form high school hit me up. One now had a kid, and told me another one of our best friends was 7 months into it with her girlfriend. My best friend hit me up on my birthday to wish me happy birthday. Keep in mind, I havent spoken to either in two years. Since I graduated I stopped seeing em, and just stopped talking. So it was wild to hear from them again. We've changed so much, two years ago we were driving around town during lunch blasting music and laughing our asses off. Going out to abandoned houses and exploring them while skipping classes. Smoking weed before class and laughing in our lil cave in the hills. Walking in a cold ass river near the end of school. Getting lunch at a gas station and then going to a park to chill and eat. I still remember so many little moments with them, so many times I was happy to be alive. That last photo resonated so much with me cause I have a pic like that of my friends. Was one of the last days of school and we decided to skip the meaningless final days of class and go walk around the town. We explored an abandoned factory, drove to a different town and messed around on a playground, then drove to my house which was in ANOTHER town, to watch videos on KZbin and eat n chill. Dude, Im about to cry knowing that shit is long gone. If I could just sell my soul to experience that again, just like watching a really realistic movie, I would. Just until that very last moment before everything changed, then be thrown back into the life im living rn. Still astounds me where our lives went after

This actually gets me scared for growing up, I’ve made so many amazing friends and it’s heartbreaking to think that one day, we’ll all slowly drift apart. And I would love to see this adult swim version of Ed Edd n Eddy.

I know this late but it's not that bad honestly, you and your friends get older, it'll be like Pokemon but in real life, meeting new friends, new goals, you and your friends may forget each other for a bit or forever (not intentionally) due to having to work and pay bills and get things you want to make your life better and may possibly be reunited with some as it begins to feel like a small world sometimes as you cross your journey into life I know it sounds scary (as I was also afraid of it when my dad told me when I was younger) but there is nothing to be afraid of, as in your later years you can look back and say you made some good friends and you made it count, embrace it as you understand yourself and what you want in life :)

But it is very easy to forget to try and make new friends as you grow older. It somehow starts to seem harder and harder despite always being fairly easy. Though it's never as easy as when you're a kid and just sitting next to someone for 5 minutes had a super high likelihood of you being friends.

This is what I always thought would wind up happening. Double D would just get sick of Eddy's shit getting him and Ed into trouble and ruining his life, and once he left, Ed wouldn't want to hang out with Eddy, because he's just a mean, manipulative piece of shit without Double D to provide the conscience and stability for the trio. It's a sad, really relatable sentiment - how the people who are our best friends as kids; who we think will be by our side forever, most often just don't end up being the kind of friends you'll keep in your adult life, and sometimes you realize were never even good friends to begin with. They were just the ones you had. Seeing that picture of the three of them happy together in the end really hits me. It was a simpler time, when you didn't know how to pick your friends, and more often than not just made friends with whoever you happened to be around. People who you might not have had any kind of meaningful relationship with as an adult, but the innocence and simplicity of youth makes it easy. You're all just kids. Everyone has some kind of behavioral issues because you're all still developing. Then you grow up and quirky behavior becomes genuine character defects. Or maybe you just can't relate to those same people on a deeper, nuanced level. It becomes your responsibility to keep good people around, and cut out the bad. Things get fucked up and complicated. And you know that if your younger self ever would've known, it would've broken their heart. Sorry, am I just projecting too much now?

It’s like 1 am, and I’ve watched this probably 5, 6 times on loop already. There’s such a specific fucking feeling this triggers in me, like a specific nostalgia high I’ve been chasing for years. That high of coming home from school, around 4 pm on a warm May Day, dropping your backpack and then running into the living room and watching Ed, Edd n Eddy. I remember a specific memory of sitting on my bedroom floor alone, playing with dolls, but forgetting I was playing because i was so entranced watching this show. My window was open and the warm summer breeze was blowing my curtains, and I was hoping one day, i could have a friendship like Ed, Edd and Eddy. Their friendship was something I chased for a really long time without even realizing it. That childhood nostalgia and just... intense feelings around this show... I’m still chasing it so fucking hard dude. Thank you for this, because it actually helped a lot on my journey for finding that feeling again.

Imagine: the original show was a coming of age show about conquering with childhood adversities. Imagine if they remade it as a drama about the kids all overcoming their adult issues. No excessive crass language, no gross-out sex humor just because, but to show it’s a bit different. I think it would resonate well.

The lead animator of Samurai Jack wasn't violently gunned down by police over mental health issues. Much like your puppers after ATF bust down your door and shoot the dog there ain't no bringing em back. From Wikipedia "He was shot and killed on August 13, 2007, by a police officer in Vancouver. A video recorded by tourists showed Boyd being shot nine times after wielding a bicycle chain at officers who came to respond to an emotional disturbance involving him. The ninth shot that struck Boyd was fired as he was on the ground. The officer who shot Boyd was cleared in the death. The use of force was criticized by many of Boyd's colleagues and relatives."
