Seems like there are quite a few who learn to play a right handed guitar up-side down because they are left-handed. Props to those people, must be difficult

That's how I learned but ended up getting actual lefty guitars once I hit a wall. Definitely not easy or fun making chord shapes backwards! Helps when at music shops though...
