I hope the next movie after Compton is a biopic on Public Enemy. They were the first group to get into the public psyche with messages about racism and inequality, and people didn't dismiss, they stood up and listened. There is a movie alone with a young and upcoming Eddie Murphy being the MC that introduced the groups at the place where they played in their early days!

People forget that Bambaata's issue is HIS issue. Krs One said something stupid in his attempt to defend a hip hop pioneer because he's hell bent on upholding the legacy. He went too far with it though by picking a side about an issue no one is sure about, which made him seem insensitive towards child abuse victims. However, everyone is entitled to a slip up, even Krs One. Many of those who claim that Krs deserves to be buried alive have said some rather silly things themselves, but the only difference is that their remarks were not filmed and seen all over the net. After 30 plus years of positivity and educational lyrics, I think Krs's legend deserves to breathe without being smothered for a mistake. It's one thing to lose respect, but to dismiss him entirely? That's a bit much.
