We need more Ed Lover interviews. This man has been around the realest eras of hip hop. Would love to hear all of his stories with pac, Young Guns, Supreme team, 80s/90s hip hop crews and other legendary street crews. I'm sure he's seen it all, Ed Lover has been around. Much respect to this man.

Ed Lover was surprised Alpo went back. His arrogance is why he went back. Trying to still be the King of Harlem. Trying to relive his glory days in the 80’s. Alpo’s arrogance got him killed. Not shocked here. Not at all. You play stupid games you win stupid prizes.

Ed Lover is right Po was a grimy ass dude who got what he had coming. Not sure why so many people come into these comments claiming nobody ever had a negative thing to say about him when he was alive and how scared people were of him. @Ayethere M8 My mother is dead you idiot. It's pretty easy to understand. If your in the streets doing illegal things and when you and some associates get caught you stick to some dumb code but all your friends tell then your a fool. You go to prison and they go home. Time is the one precious thing you can't get back and if you'd be willing to spend 20-30 yrs locked up because of some code then you've watched too many mafia movies.

Why don’t people believe Alpo wanted to go out the way he did? He stood in his truth and wanted to live his life to the fullest he didn’t want to be in hiding. He more than likely knew he’d die and wanted to die in Harlem. He also said out is own mouth that a young cat would probably pop him because the people his age don’t care about what he did anymore they’re more concerned about their Heath. So I believe the rumor that it was over something new beef not old beef. I honestly believe he slapped the ish out of the person who did it and they came back and shot him.
