Tendonitis is repetitive use injury. I’m currently dealing with a form of it with my left elbow. It has taken me months to recover from. What has really progressed my recovery was resting. So I get how frustrated CMC can be when the only answer is rest.

To be honest....The only people bugging and going crazy over this are the gamblers and fantasy Vegas people....As a fan I want him to get better and if its this year great, if not see him next season. People that are making a fuss are the ones looking to make money from it, which I don't care about. I doubt CMC is worried about the betting or deals being made.....All he's worried about is getting better. The situation isn't messy. What his dad said is what we know and that's it.

Ed McCaffrey obviously was monumental in CMC being the player he is but he also kinda instilled that crazy work ethic in him lol so in a way it’s kinda his dads fault for creating the workout and training monster that CMC has become

He’s also getting older, so one thing to take into consideration as he ages is that he might not be able to train with the same volume and intensity that he could when he was 18-22. Tendons get stiffer with age.

When the niners traded for cmc was in mid season. Niners still reached the nfc conference championship. I think the 🎉same year they lost 4 in games row. Stay humble 😌

Like Ed said, CMC is a danger to himself when it comes to training and playing. He's gotta dial it back. He has to realize if he wants to finish out his contract even, he needs to be available. I'd give him a light load if he does come back, unless there's an injury requiring him to be back on the field full go. Kyle has to learn to say no. Simple as that. If he don't wanna scale it back a bit, then tell him find another team because we can't afford more players getting paid to be sitting on IR. Love CMC and happy He's a 49er, but he's gotta put the team before himself if he can't put his own health as #1 priority. Pride and stubbornness will end a career real fast.

you're gonna get rid of the best RB in the NFL because he doesn't want to prevent himself from injury? How absurd can you get? You can't play professional sports if you're scared of getting hurt. I don't know how you expect to win like that. That's like a soldier going to war who is afraid to die. It simply just doesn't work that way. You play your hardest, get adequate rest when possible and live with the results. If you get hurt, you get hurt. They get paid millions for a reason.

He's likely gonna be hella rusty and not 100% in football shape when he does return to the field so Kyle should gradually ease him back in instead of giving him majority of the snaps immediately

He has the best doctors and training program. Mine took years to heal after stopping all sports activities (fearing an Achilles tear from micro tears). It could be that. It could be more about resting cmc after overworking him last year so he's fresh in playoffs, or anything in between. Ed isnt going to say, and there is no value in speculation. We find out week 8. Fingers crossed.

Ed probably has it right. The 49ers played the maximum amount of games last Year, Christian probably got back to the grind quickly ( possibly training like he was still 22), then by the time July rolled around it ended up being too much.
