Notable that at the Labour conference a few weeks ago ( seems an eternity given the chaos unleashed by the Tory cult sometimes known as the government) he was interviewed on C4 news and a crowd were gathered to listen, applauding at the end. His wife smiled at me while I was waiting for my ( now) wife outside the ticket office at the Hay Festival in around 2010 ( not been since 2011). Didn't have to and just being pleasant. He does come across very well. He did not move Labour enough to the left in my view but paved the way for Corbyn with the rule change for electing the leader. The treatment of Ed by the media was a disgrace, at the time the worst since Kinnock in the 1980s, since surpassed by the treatment of Corbyn. Looks like at last this government is doomed to heavy election defeat, another 1945 or 1997 moment!

I honestly had no idea Ed Miliband was so likeable. Still not entirely sure what kind of PM he’d have made, but I’d probably have voted Labour if I’d seen this self-deprecating, borderline-philosophical, good-humoured, balanced side of him before the 2015 election. Unfortunately he didn’t really come across as well (or as a convincing leader) back then. That said, I absolutely detested the way so many in the media treated the guy as nothing but a walking punchline. I don’t know, perhaps 2015 was just too early for him-I remember watching the debates and just couldn’t imagine him as Prime Minister (that said, if it had been a choice between _only_ Ed Miliband or David “spawn of Satan” Cameron I’d have gladly voted Labour without a second thought). I think his brother was a better statesman. However, having more humble, thick skinned, moderate people in parliament is a good shout. We appear to rush from crisis to crisis. I feel as if there’s a PG Woodhouse character representing us on the world stage. When he should be falling over at an intramural cricket match. Xxxxxxxxx

Not a big Miliband Brother's fan but, it's good to see his comeback, especially after years of Cameron's domination in parliament. He was no match back then. But Cameron also experienced a spectacular fall from grace after the referendum and hasn't been heard from really since. Whereas it seems Miliband eventually brushed off the dust, and has been making a 'strongish" comeback of sorts in the last year or so. Well done!
