I bought the Charlie Ventura LP at a used record shop in Oxford, 1956, first live concert recording I ever heard, couldn’t get over the excitement the band generated, specially the two bass drums.

I played with Ed as part of a college band and he is an unpleasant man.

Ed has the great honor of being the 2nd greatest drummer of all-time he tried to keep up with the G.O.A.T Buddy Rich but of course couldn't match Buddy for speed and sheer artistry.
