@@Nexodon I wouldn't say he started out as a pop singer, and part of his charm always was that you never had the feeling that he was interested in the money. It was a guy with a guitar, passion and stories from his life. Now it's tiktok, some sort of rave pop and massive promotion on all outputs, as if he's afraid people won't buy his stuff.

@Matt Gee Ed has said in the past (and in basically every interview he's done since his return) that he always releases the song he thinks his fans will hate the most first. He also mentioned that he wanted to try making a dance song because he never has tried that before. Personally I love Bad Habits, but if you don't that's understandable and by Ed even expected. I wouldn't worry about him selling out though. I've been a die hard Ed fan for years and he seems to be just as humble and down to earth as he's ever been.

You’re actually wrong, Ed actually made this song after the album was finished. In just about every interview he’s said he wanted to try to make a dance track, and that is what he did. It’s similar to when he made shape of you. He made shape of you after the album was done and made it a single to kind of show everyone what he is capable of doing/how versatile he is. Yeah, his record label has nothing to do with what songs he releases.
