Veronica I love this song for the music and the lyrics. But what he says about easy come easy go: people always say they want to leave a legacy that people will remember. People don't remember - when you are gone, you're gone. Nobody thinks about you and remember what you did - except for a few close loved ones. Who remembers Michael Jackson - one of the biggest pop stars ever? His legacy is all but forgotten. So the meaning in your life must be something else. And Ed refers to that in one of his other songs "Supermarket Flowers": his mother went to be with God. Ultimately that is where we go if we accepted the Saviour Jesus. Do't miss the most important thing in our lives.

Lost my grandma this year, last may 27th, couldn´t be there for her farewell because I lived in a different country now. She was the best person I've ever met, the kindest woman. I was lucky to grow by her side, my heart broke the moment I knew she passed, and I wasn't there, now I have to learn to live without her, with hurt heart, knowing that when I go to her house to visit, she won't be there. This song hits right to the heart for those who have lost someone they loved. I don't dislike Ed's more "pop-y" songs, mostly because I absolutely love his voice and that overides any dislike I might have otherwise.
