Andrea Bocelli (Bo chell' ee) has an INCREDIBLE voice and opera is not only his genre.. he became blind young in life. The young men in the background are his sons and his wife is also there. This is filmed in his home. You would love his duet with his son Matteo, FALL ON ME.. a really endearing song!

Lost his sight completely at age 12. His sight was never very good. But lost it completely when a weighted soccer ball hit him in his good eye, and after that, he became 100% blind.

The official videos I've seen for this, and other songs of his, are beautiful also, but I don't think any of them build to big vocal or musical moments. I agree that both he and Andrea are capable of it - but I don't think it's his style. I could be wrong. I only know the basics about Ed - like he is a great songwriter. Andrea Bocelli (BOW-CHEH-LEE) was born with eye problems but didn't lose his eyesight completely until he was 12 when he was hit the head with a ball while playing goalkeeper in a match. Didn't, and doesn't, hold him back from anything. He was always interested in music, but became a lawyer for a short time. He sings what most people call Popera, a blend of pop and opera, although he has performed on stage in operas. Amazing career - over 90 mil albums sold. He worked with Pavarotti and Zucchero (Queen connection! Zucchero sang Las Palabras at the Freddie Tribute Concert)

I love the look on Ed's face as he checks out all photos on the wall. I've been listening to Andrea since the Romanza release in 1997 (my favorite album is Sogno), but I didn't know about this duet until I was listening to a radio host on Sirius XM talk about it. He said the minute Andrea's voice came in, he teared up. Not someone I would have expected to say that, so I checked it out immediately.

I would say ed sheeran is more popular on a world wide standard ,ed sheeran influence and style crosses genres more frequently,I think was Andrea very popular but most people wouldn't know him since opera is a very small part of the music industry

It's pronounced Bochelli. In Italian, (which he is), the 'C' is pronuned 'CH'. You can hear it in the word 'cello'. Just so you know. Yes, I too love this duo singing Perfect.

Andrea Boccelli followed the footsteps of his mentor the great Luciano Pavarotti, the best opera singer of the 20th century. Pavarotti started a series of concerts with pop and rock musicians called “Pavarotti and Friends”. The idea was launched by Montserrat Caballe who sung with Freddie Mercury. She and Pavarotti were very good friends. Sadly he and Freddie never had the chance to sing together because Freddie was already very ill. The critics said that if that had happened the world would have witnessed the two best voices of all times performing together 😪😪
