He lost a good friend in spring this year. This song is about their close friendship and that Ed raises his daughter without his advices. But besides this: his opening lyrics are always on point. Remember Afterglow, Perfect, Supermarket Flowers etc. This is just incredible!

This is another amazing song by Ed. He did perform it at his funeral and started to lose it but as the person he is he carried on and wonderfully honored his friend. Great reaction. He pulls you in to the emotions he's feeling.

Songs like this help me remember my late brother, the best sibling anyone could ever have. When I saw Ed Sheeran's performance at his friend's funeral, it consoled me. Another song of loss and grief that consoles me was also written in the last year: Angelina Jordan's Million Miles. Bring a kleenex. A box. But it's good crying. Ed's song is so moving and beautiful. Both are. Thanks for reacting to this.

Ed always manages to hit me right in the feels and this song is no different.. I get goosebumps every time I hear it! I lost my 16yr old Son in 2009 and can resonate with so much of this song, if only heaven really did have visiting hours! ❤️ xx

Thanks for doing this song! I turned this on when my phone was like “New music from Ed Sheeran!” Not expecting anything super impactful like this. Cried while on my lunch break listening to it. It’s such a good concept and done so beautifully.

I am so sorry, but I can´t listen to this song without crying. (I would not listen to this, if it wasn´t for you.) I lost my father a few years back to cancer and even when it happened years ago, songs like this bring all the emotions back, as if it happened yesterday. I love Ed Sheeran, but I will never listen to this song on purpose. It hurts to much. My go to song by Ed Sheeran from his newer ones is Bad Habits. Thats a banger! :) (The same goes for "Two of Us" by Louis Tomlinson, if they are any Louies or Directioners here. I skip it, when I listen to his album, because it just hurts to much.)
